Random thoughts about life, the world, current events, and whatever floats my boat at any given moment...
After a long hiatus, we find ourselves in the midst of a pandemic and civil rights movement. I’ve returned for a cathartic and hopefully useful experience. Feel free to participate on IG @breeiscompletelyrandom.
Found these in the archives and realized they were never published. As I listened to them I revisited the moment I recorded them and found them each still relevant. Enjoy.
Completely flabbergasted by the wardrobe choice for the little boy modeling H&M’s “Coolest Monkey in the Jungle” hoodie. Why do we continue to patronize culturally insensitive and socially irresponsible businesses when there are so many great alternatives? I highlight a few but encourage you to share more. A quick take on some the the unavoidable topics surrounding the Black Panther movie. Suffice it to say: STOP IT. Go see the film bits awesome!
I’m still phenomenal outside of the kitchen. Why do we undermine a persons femininity/masculinity for not fulfilling their traditional gender roles?
An epiphany I had today that I felt like sharing. There is no need to seek anyone’s approval. When you’re being your authentic self, you’ll attract who is meant to be in your life. It took me a long time to reach that understanding but it’s extremely liberating to release the need to agree with, go along with, and otherwise engage in what no longer serves you.

Today, 45, referred to countries predominantly populated by people of color as “shitholes,” while rolling out the red carpet to immigrants from countries like Norway, further clarifying just what he meant my making America great again and adding to the long list of ignorant Trumpisms and general fuckery. Embarrassing.
I don’t usually watch award shows beyond the red carpet arrivals, but because of the #timesup movement, I wanted to tune in tonight and witness the display of unity. Good show, Hollywood! Did you watch? Thoughts? Call in or post a comment on Instagram @breeiscompletelyrandom
What was intended to be a lighthearted topic about a personal peeve of mine took a more important turn after thinking about the fact that our education system failed multiple generations of Americans. So, how are we investing in our youth in and outside of the home to ensure that they have the fundamental building blocks to prepare them for higher education?
When someone tried to re-enter through a door you’ve intentionally closed, how do you address that?

An ode though womanhood and a call to shatter the stereotype of the catty, judgmental female.
