Master storyteller Hoksheda sits down with his son to pass down his stories and traditional Indigenous knowledge. He explores the Truth and Reconciliation calls to action by the Canadian government by discussing his experience in being raised to understand his culture, surviving residential school, and bringing context to the current reality for Indigenous people living in Canada. Hoksheda traces his family tree back to his ancestors: warriors on one side, and medicine people on the other. His great-grandfather was a holy man and held a rich knowledge of Indigenous customs and practices. It was from this man that Hoksheda's true education began – not from a formal education, but from the oral traditions of his family.
