The fertility journey continues with hosts Christina and Jordan Artis. After going through the stimulation phase and doing the egg retrieval, the couple had embryos ready for the transfer process. However, that was when complications started as the facility failed to do a biopsy on the embryos before freezing them, leaving Christina and Jordan with a difficult decision.   With no way of knowing which embryos were viable or suitable for implantation, the couple had to make a decision. They explain the factors they considered in making that decision, how they felt about the facility, and the implantation process when they went ahead with that step. Christina and Jordan also shed light on how they managed their expectations and those of the people supporting them on this journey, the outcome of the implantation, and how they addressed the mistake of the fertility clinic in this process.   Welcome to Infertility Unexplained.   Key Takeaways: [:35] At the end of the IVF process Christina and Jordan had embryos ready for the transfer process. [3:44] There was a financial aspect of not having the biopsy done. [6:35] Christina and Jordan were faced with a difficult decision they had to make without the help of the biopsy results. [8:38] Once the decision was made, the next step was the actual transfer process. [11:08] Email your questions to Christina and Jordan, and don’t forget to follow them on Instagram. Hosts Christina and Jordan Artis continue recounting their fertility journey. After failing to conceive with fertility drugs and IUI, the next step for Christina and Jordan was IVF. However, it was not an easy decision and they share some of their considerations in deciding to go for it.   Christina describes IVF as a beast, and it is evident why from Jordan and Christina’s story. They talk about the different factors that came into play in deciding to undergo IVF — the exorbitant costs, the moral dilemma, the drugs involved, and more. Ultimately, they decided to take their chances with IVF but it was a challenge for both of them, physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. Christina and Jordan talk openly about how they tackled each challenge as it came their way, and leaned on each other for support through the first stages of IVF.   Welcome to Infertility Unexplained.   Key Takeaways: [:37] Christina and Jordan recap what they had shared in the previous episode. [1:39] How did Christina and Jordan deal with the disappointment and shock of getting the negative blood test? [5:22] The next step in their fertility treatment was IVF. [6:52] One of the leading factors in deciding whether or not to pursue IVF was the cost of the treatment. [11:24] Christina and Jordan also faced a moral dilemma in deciding to pursue IVF as a treatment option. [16:34] The IVF process also involves a lot of drugs. [20:12] Christina experienced many side effects as a result of all the drugs she had to take for the IVF process. [22:41] One other consideration Christina and Jordan had in doing IVF was the lack of control they had in the whole process — IVF does not guarantee you will have a child. [27:25] Email your questions to Christina and Jordan, and don't forget to follow them on Instagram. [27:40] How did Christina and Jordan maintain normalcy while going through IVF?
