This is a subject that is hard for religious folks to hear, but it's so necessary and it's relevant today. In Matthew 18:6 it states "But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. So much damage is being done in the name of Christianity and Christ today and I am here to bring you the real in plain english in contrast to God's word. We are far from perfect, but we love Christ and we love you. I'm always reminded of this quote "If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything." Prior to recording this podcast, I had no idea about the book drama that was currently happening due to a couple problematic releases. I still stand behind how I feel about non Bipoc authors writing diversity. Do you read books by Bipoc authors? Do you uplift them by promoting their work? How often do you have people of color in your homes, go out to eat or just interact with on the regular? From these questions I can deduct so much and also it reveals motive & intention in wanting to write these characters. This is the bare minimum and I can't believe that in 2022 we are still discussing this. As always Cass and I go all over the place pulling it all back together with a purse string.
