Sometimes we have jobs to do that really are not fun to do. It may be the dishes, taking out the trash, cleaning up your room, or if you live in my family the dreaded chore is picking up the dog poop! The quickest way to pick up the dog poop is to put a grocery bag on your hand and just scoop it up. When we have a job to do, how do we do it? Happily? Cheerfully? Or do we whine and complain? Monica und Housi Korner haben ihren Traum vom Leben in Schweden verwirklicht. Seit drei Jahren ist das Paar im südschwedischen Mönsterås in der Provinz Kalmar zu Hause. Angekommen zwischen Meer, Natur und neuer Freiheit. Aus einer Ferienliebe vor 25 Jahren wurde Schritt für Schritt ein neues Leben in Schweden. Monica und Housi Korner aus Rüdtligen (BE) zog es immer wieder in den Norden, bis sie sich entschieden, ganz zu bleiben. In Mönsterås, nördlich von Kalmar, fanden sie vor drei Jahren ihr neues Zuhause. Die kleine Gemeinde nahe am Meer ist auch ein beliebter Ferienort für viele Schweden, sagt Monica Korner: «Das Klima hier ist sehr mediterran, viele Stockholmer haben in Mönsterås ihre Ferienhäuser.» Das Paar geniesst seinen Ruhestand mit Gartenarbeit, langen Spaziergängen mit Hund «Linus» und allgemein viel Zeit draussen. «Es ist ein Ort der Entschleunigung, ein Paradies», schwärmt Housi. Grünes Haus mit viel Platz Monica und Housi Korner leben in einem typisch für Schweden farbigen Haus. Ihres ist grün mit den charakteristischen weissen Fensterrahmen. Umgeben von Birken, Tannen und einem grosszügigen Garten, mitten in der Natur. Da laufen auch schon mal Rehe, Hasen und Eichhörnchen vorbei.

June 1st dropped like a bomb on the NFL offseason, and the Korner Booth Podcast is breaking down every massive move. The most anticipated trade of the 2026 NFL offseason is finally official: three-time Pro Bowler AJ Brown is headed to the New England Patriots, and the ripple effects are enormous. The Eagles are getting a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-rounder in return, giving Philly the cap flexibility they desperately needed while handing Drake Maye a bona fide WR1 to grow with. With Mike Vrabel having a strong history and relationship with Brown, the fit in New England makes all the sense in the world, and suddenly, the Patriots look like legitimate AFC threats. We're breaking down what this means for both franchises, what's left of the Eagles' receiving corps, and whether AJ Brown's best football is still ahead of him. But that wasn't even the biggest trade of the day. The Cleveland Browns have sent two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams for Jared Verse and multiple draft picks, including a 2027 first-rounder. Nobody saw this coming — the Browns spent all offseason insisting they weren't trading Garrett, the face of their franchise, and yet here we are. The Rams sent Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick, and other draft compensation to bring in the five-time First-Team All-Pro edge rusher. Coming off a record-setting 23-sack campaign, Garrett joins a Rams squad that is clearly going all-in for a Super Bowl run with Matthew Stafford. Los Angeles is building something terrifying on that defense, and the NFC just got a whole lot more dangerous. And then there's the storybook signing that has the whole football world buzzing. OBJ is coming home. The New York Giants have officially signed Odell Beckham Jr., bringing one of the most electric wide receivers in franchise history back to Big Blue. The 33-year-old signed with the Giants on Monday after working out with the team earlier in the day, reuniting with head coach John Harbaugh, who has maintained a close relationship with OBJ. In just 59 games with the Giants from 2014-18, Beckham climbed to second in franchise history in receiving yards, and now he's back to help a wide receiver room dealing with uncertainty around Malik Nabers' knee recovery. The 2026 NBA Playoffs second round is heating up, and the Korner Booth crew has you fully covered. In the West, Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves evened their series against the San Antonio Spurs at 2-2 after a massive Game 4 performance. Edwards dropped 36 points, 16 of them in the fourth quarter, as Minnesota rallied back to knot the series. The big story? Spurs star Victor Wembanyama was ejected for throwing an elbow toward Wolves big Naz Reid early in the second quarter, and despite the no-suspension ruling, his absence opened the paint wide open for Minnesota to take over down the stretch. With Game 5 looming in San Antonio, this series is far from over. Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder continue to make the Los Angeles Lakers look overmatched. The Thunder have yet to lose in the 2026 playoffs, and OKC's depth, defense, and efficiency, combined with too many Lakers turnovers, resulted in a third-straight double-digit victory. New York is rolling and looks like a genuine Eastern Conference Finals threat. Then there's the Pistons-Cavs series, which has the makings of a classic.
