We use to have a dog that had never been walked on a leash. She was use to running wherever she wanted, whenever she wanted. When we had her, we had to teach her how to walk on a leash. She would jump and spin, pull and jerk trying to get off the leash. She was rebelling. Consequences is a BIG word, but it has a simple meaning. It is the result of something that happened in the past. Usually, we think about consequences as a bad thing. If you touch a hot pan, the natural consequence is that you get burned. If you are late for the school bus, you have to find a different way to get to school. If I forget where I put my keys, I can't drive my car!
