Tonight, we conclude chapter four from Unchosen as Peppi makes his fateful decision after the Postman has come to his mother to ask her to take in Patrina as he feels the Third Reich closing in around him.
Tonight, the opening of chapter 4 from Unchosen. Having discovered the Postman's secret, Peppi struggles to understand what he should do next while his mother presses him for the truth.
Tonight, we finish chapter 3 from Unchosen as Peppi returns home to face his mother after his escapade to the Gypsy Camp and his discovery of a dark secret kept by the postman's daughter.
We continue tonight with chapter 3 from Unchosen to find Peppi hatching a plant that he is sure will win the respect of his Stammführer, who rebuked him for the way he prioritized casualties during the bombing of the village.
Tonight, we begin chapter 3 of Unchosen, and find Peppi's Stammführer confronting him over the bombing of the village.
Tonight, we continue with chapter two from Unchosen. The RAF has dispatched its thousand plane raid in Operation Millenium and tonight we find Patrina and her father cowering in their basement as an errant load of bombs falls on the village.
Chapter 2, scene 1 from Unchosen: In the sleepy hours of May 31, 1942, Peppi faces the war for the first time at the hands of the Royal Air Force.
After a period of absence wherein I struggled a bit with finishing the book, we return with another reading from Unchosen, which is now complete, printed and ready to ship. In this episode, we meet Peppi as he confronts his mother with a curious question: why has he no brother or sister? This leads to an awkward conversation about Lebensborn as Peppi's mother struggles to hold on to her son for as long as she can.
A brief recounting of Nazi policy regarding Gypsies in World War 2 and a reading of the first scene from my upcoming novel, Unchosen, where we meet Patrina and her father living in a small village near the Ruhr in 1942, where they have been trying to scrape together enough money to escape the clutches of Porajmos.
