iMiller iPad Integration Program
On Digital Learning Day 2012, a team of teachers, administrators and tech support staff at Miller Junior High in Aberdeen, Washington handed an iPad to every student in the school. The year before, the iMiller project team outfitted all 5th-and 6th-graders with iPods. Tech integration runs like a deep, rich vein of practice and productivity in this vibrant learning environment. On this Transformed Learning Community webinar, we talk to Mark Decker, principal of Miller Junior High, and Mike Williams, who is the tech director at Aberdeen School District. Mark and Mike are two of the architects of this dynamic new teaching and learning experience. They will unpack the planning and preparation, as well as the technological and skill-building elements of the iMiller project. We’ll find out how it’s going, what works and what advice they have for other districts tackling the complexity of a 1:1 program.
