PAC Chats is the official AsACC Podcast started by the coordinators of the Pan Asian Council. Hear our conversations about the center and our communities with special guests as we explore what it means to be Asian American.
For this week's podcast we partnered with Global Gateways and had two of the coordinators, Shaina Selvaraju and Steven Chen, interview Katelyn Trieu (MFA Acting Candidate 2023) and Srijani Challagundla (BS Biological Sciences and Global Gateways Coordinator) about their personal experiences as international students at UConn during Covid-19. We discuss the ICE ban that took place in early 2020, how UConn supported them through this process, anti-Asian hate, and how they feel about coming back to UConn in the Fall.
Kulnoor talks to Julia and Jaden, co-cordinators for MIXED, about what the program is and why having conversations about this topic is so important.
We return to PART II of Ethan’s conversation with Shreya and Aubrey, where they continue to explore leadership, the impact that PAC has had on their lives, and if you stick around ’til the end, you’ll discover their answers to arguably the most critical question of the evening: What pancake would you be in a stack and why?!
Ethan Kimaru reflects with the 2017-2019 PAC CoCo's, Shreya Khadka & Aubrey Tang, on how PAC impacted their lives at UConn and their journies post-graduation. Stay tuned for Part II coming soon!
Today we are having a conversation with MESA, the Middle Eastern Students Association, about their organization and discussing sensitive ongoing issues within the Middle East. They will be sharing their personal experiences and views regarding these topics as well as talking about Middle Eastern representation here at UConn.
Kulnoor had the pleasure of speaking with Harleen Kaur, a UConn and AsACC alum who started her own fashion company!
Now that you know a little bit about us, we wanted to talk about the center which brought us together. Ethan, Kulnoor and Sunny sit down for a chat about what AsACC is all about and how it has become their home.
Get to know us, the Pan Asian Coucil Coodinators, and join us in kicking off the first ever podcast series from AsACC!
