Pay Close Attention is XL Recordings’ podcast series of in-depth conversations between artists.  Our second episode features XL founder, artist and producer Richard Russell, and drummer and producer Makaya McCraven. Back in 2010, Richard produced, I'm New Here, which would be the final album from the late, great Gil Scott-Heron. The album was then reinterpreted by Jamie xx in 2011, and this year Richard approached Makaya to produce his own reimagining of the album, called We're New Again.
