In this podcast, Otis Birnbaum will look to explore philosophy in the lense of our everyday lives. He will seek not to create an academic or highly opinionated environment, but instead, to create one that is chill and laid back with the chief goal to make him, his guest (if applicable) and the listener to think and question their perceptions of the world around them. If successful, this podcast will change the way one perceives and views the world merely through simple yet intelligent discussion.

In this prologue Otis explains the rift in the way that philosophy is being discussed in our society. He speaks on the issues of the over academfication of philosophy, as well as Himamovic's complaint of philosophy's use to justify personal beliefs and actions that are the fronts of other, often immoral, interests. In this prologue Otis will explain how the Philosophy in Life Podcast will combat this, and bring back dignity to the perception of philosophy.
