We’re going back to the Genesis for our next game, Comix Zone. While we have pretty much been on the same page when it comes to the games we have played up to this point, this time it’s a bit polarizing. The game has large sprites, lots of action and a cool concept; fighting inside of a comic book so it should be will liked and it is… by some of us. Gunstar Heroes is well known as one of the best Genesis games especially for being from the end of its life cycle. Two players, great graphics and run and gun gameplay is a recipe for greatness. Bubble Bobble hit arcades in 1986 and was ported to almost all o the home consoles to include the NES. It has been a fan favorite since then and earned a place on the NES Classic’s roster when Nintendo released it. So what are we missing? None of us really played it back when it came out and over looked it to this day. Is it really a classic we missed out on or is there something in this retro quarter muncher we’re missing? Kirby is Nintendo’s cute, pink puff of a hero who has been an eating machine since he first showed up on the NES. But somehow he never showed up on our radar so we missed several of his games to include Super Star on the SNES. So we went back and played it and on this episode we’re sharing our thoughts.
