I've been singing the praises of Bioshock for years, and finally decided it was time to replay and review the sequel.I hadn't played Bioshock 2 since it released, and all I really remembered about it was that you played as a Big Daddy. Taking it for as pain for the first time in almost 15 years was a blast, and while I (ironically) the the Big Daddy mechanic falls a little flat, I still can't get enough of the world of Rapture.Ye olde Tylet is helping me close out the year by talking about killing crazy people with drills and singing the praises of genius Andrew Ryan's world of Rapture. Would you kindly join us?And before we go harvesting, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week someone asks if the Switch has surpassed the SNES as my favourite console? Am I interested in playing the original Fallout? And other than Mario, which franchise needs to start pumping out sports games??Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! I liked a lot about Cyberpunk 2077--from the side missions to the combat to the visuals and plenty more-- but the character of Johnny Silverhand and the performance of Keanu Reeves was not one of them. This wouldn't have been a big problem if he wasn't such a crucial part of the main story, but he is and can't help but show up all of the time, so I couldn't help but only like Cyberpunk 2077 when I thought I was going to love it. Anyway and as always, thank you for watching or listening, I hope you enjoy this here episode, and I hope you have a wonderful wonderful rest of your day. W tym odcinku „Przerwy Technicznej” Remek i Marek powracają do swojego quasi-cyklu „Legendy Apple”, by oddać hołd niezwykłej postaci – niedawno zmarłej Rebece Heineman.

But I did like it. A lot. (Please don't hurt me Undertale fans.) This episode is, surprise surprise, all about Undertale, an RPG where you can complete the entire adventure without killing a single soul...or you can kill everyone if that's your fancy. It's up to you (or me in this case) to decide what kind of tale you want to tell. Spoilers: I went the pacifist way. Anyway and as always, thank you for watching or listening, I hope you enjoy this here episode, and I hope you have a wonderful wonderful rest of your day.
In this episode Greg and Joe cover a 'different' wrestling game -- WCW SuperBrawl Wrestling! WCW was the rival league to the WWF that operated in the 90's before being bought and merged into the WWF. We cover the only WCW game on the SNES as we discuss some history of wrestling leagues and how this game plays, and how it compares to the other SNES wrestling games. This is my go-to Christmas game, it's a masterpiece, and in a lot of ways it's superior to Mario's SNES work. You all know how this game works. You play as Donkey and Diddy Kong, you're trying to get your bananas back, and you jump in a lot of barrels. It's time for the holidays…and what did people receive as a gift during this time of year back in 1992? The Super Scope 6 of course! Nintendo's successor to the NES Zapper was a bazooka-shaped monolith of potential. Though the final game library was small, the Super Scope 6 was full of untold gaming possibilities. From arcade ports like Operation Thunderbolt and Terminator 2: The Arcade Game, to Nintendo originals like Battle Clash, Metal Combat and Yoshi's Safari, Super Scope brought a wave of innovation combined with top notch durability. Today's episode focuses on the music from the library of Super Scope games. In this week's episode of The Game Deflators Podcast, John and Ryan bring a packed agenda to the table. The duo kicks things off with fresh updates from their ongoing Strixhaven D&D campaign, sharing the latest twists, character antics, and how the story is evolving. Looking ahead, they set their New Games Resolutions for 2026, laying out the titles they're determined to play, backlog goals, and what they hope to accomplish as gamers in the new year. The conversation then shifts to the 2025 Game Awards, where John and Ryan break down the highlights of the show, their favorite (and least favorite) trailers, and whether the event lived up to the hype. Adding a more analytical angle, the hosts dive into a new Boston Consulting Group report on gamer purchasing habits, exploring what the data says about how players are spending, and what it could mean for the industry moving forward. Finally, they wrap things up with a retro spotlight: a review of Batman Returns for the SNES, revisiting the beat 'em up classic to see if it still holds up today. 00:00 Introduction to the Game Deflators Podcast 01:17 Recent Game Pickups and D&D Updates 03:36 D&D Campaign Adventures and Challenges 10:58 Future Campaign Plans and Game Mechanics 19:39 Current Gaming Experiences and New Game Resolutions 27:48 Nostalgia in Collectibles and Blind Boxes 28:21 Exploring Metal Gear Solid: A Legendary Experience 34:19 New Game Resolutions and Game Picks 38:08 Game Awards Highlights and Reactions 49:17 Exciting Game Trailers and Anticipations 56:43 The Changing Landscape of Gaming Purchases 01:01:03 Backlogs and Gaming Habits 01:04:31 Inflation vs. Deflation: Game Pricing Discussion Want more Game Deflators content?
This week AI decided to write our notes for this week again. So here it is John Cena Figure Collecting Discussion Jefry and Scott discussed their favorite John Cena figures, with Jefry highlighting the Unmatched Fury as his top pick from Jacks and a Mattel prototype figure as his favorite from Mattel. Scott shared that his favorite Mattel Cena figure is the Ultimate Edition from ECW's One Night Stand 2006, while also mentioning the WrestleMania 41 Cena figure as one of his most valuable. They agreed that Cena has been a key figure in the Mattel WWE line. Wrestling Figures and Sales Updates Jefry and Scott discussed the fluctuating prices of wrestling figures and encouraged playing the long game for better deals. They highlighted the upcoming Black Friday 3.0 sales at RSC and recommended checking shipping dates for gift orders. Scott shared that independent manufacturers are switching to boat shipping due to rising costs, doubling delivery times. They also reviewed the new Adrian Adonis figures from Title Run Toys, including three variants: a Series 2 version, a leg warmer variant, and a biker Adonis edition. Scott expressed a desire for an Ultimate Edition Adrian Adonis figure in Mattel's Coliseum Collection. Latoonie Figures Quality Discussion Jefry and Scott discussed the prototype pictures of Latoonie Demolition figures, which they found disappointing due to poor face painting and overall quality. Despite this, they expressed hope that the final product would be better and gave Latoonie the benefit of the doubt, acknowledging their unique approach in the crowded wrestling figure market. They also defended Latoonie's retro figures, praising their creativity and quality, while agreeing that Power Town figures were universally poor. Saturday Night Slammasters Discussion Jefry and Scott discussed the video game Saturday Night Slammasters, which was released in 1993 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Scott shared his positive memories of playing the arcade version and later the home port, praising its user-friendly gameplay and colorful characters. They explored the game's connections to other Capcom titles like Final Fight and Street Fighter, noting how characters and elements were recycled across games. Jefry mentioned that Saturday Night Slammasters is often ranked as the best wrestling game for the SNES, though Scott expressed a personal preference for Royal Rumble. They briefly touched on the game's sequel, Ring of Destruction Slammasters 2, and its updated version, Muscle Bomber Duo Ultimate Team Battle. Saturday Slammasters Character Analysis The discussion focused on the game Saturday Slammasters, where Jefry and Scott shared insights about its characters, gameplay, and reception. They discussed the roster of 10 wrestlers, including Biff Slambukovich, Gunlock, Titan, and the final boss Scorpion, noting character connections to Street Fighter and differences between the Japanese and English versions. Scott highlighted the game's difficulty and the fun of multiplayer matches, while Jefry provided details on the game's reception, including reviews from various publications. Saturday Night Slammasters Nostalgia Jefry and Scott discussed their fond memories of playing the wrestling game Saturday Night Slammasters on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), which they both rated highly. They compared it favorably to the Genesis version.. Scott shared nostalgic memories of playing the game with friends in a crowded room with a small TV. They briefly discussed the value of rare SNES game cartridges on eBay, including an overseas version that sold for a significant amount. Scott expressed that he would never sell his copy of the game due to the memories associated with it. They agreed to continue selecting good games for their discussions in the coming weeks. This episode's theme is repetition. That means tracks that use repetition as an element of the music. For example, this helps add an element of suspense and fear for tracks such as "Stage One" from Alien 3 or "Delusion (Round 3-2)" from Zombie Nation. It can also be a steady driving force for tracks like "Character Presentation" from Mini-Yonku Let's & Go!! Power WGP 2 or "Placings" from

The Super Famicom, known as the Super Nintendo (SNES) here in North America, came out in Japan 35 years ago this year. It was Nintendo's successor to the dominant NES and it marked a real turning point for the games industry at the time. Not just in the evolution of game design but also in the market itself. With the SNES and rival Sega Genesis (Mega Drive outside of North America) fighting for market dominance, it sparked a console war that is still talked about today. Helping me break this down and more are friends of the show Nadia Oxford and Dan Greenberg! In this episode of the SNES Podcast Greg and Joe celebrate hockey season by talking about one of the most loved sports video games of all time -- NHL 94! Released several years after the NHL franchise started, this game blends arcade style gameplay with sim management, creating what many consider a perfect balance for anyone to pick up and play. We talk about the game and why it's considered a classic 30 years later, how it compares to the Genesis (and other) versions of the game, and why it still holds up today. For those users about to rock, we salute you! This was the third time the boizz focused on rock music. That means tracks that feature elements like punchy drums, electric guitars, and driving bass lines. "Final Boss" from Jackal features those nice punchy NES drums, for example. "Hercules" from Mahjong Taikai II has classic "crunchy" electric guitars. And you get the

Nintendo reignited the home video-game market with the Nintendo Entertainment System in the 1980s, but by the early 90s the Japanese game company found itself in an unexpected position: Player 2. The 1989 arrival of both Sega Genesis and Turbo Graphx 16 – more powerful machines, with aggressive marketing campaigns positioning themselves as the “radical” upstarts – officially kicked off the first wave of the console wars. Nintendo would answer with 1991's Super Nintendo, a sleek machine that would eventually be home to a slate of eye-popping games. Jumping from 8 bits to 16 encouraged developers to push the bounds of creativity. While the system would be unseated by the N64 after a mere five years, the SNES library features what are considered to be among the best entries in the company's line-up of original IP. The boizz returned from the beyond, with a new classic free play of third and fourth generation tracks. Diving right in, we're starting out with a golf game, so you already know you're in for some good music. "Hole Overview" from New 3D Golf Simulation: Waialae no Kiseki is a really uplifting and energetic track, making it different from the usual smooth jazz sound you probably expect
So F1 looks to be a pretty broad SNES catergory for the ol Randomizer so this week we are knocking out two of them with F1 ROC. We have to bring on our foremost F1ologist in Bubbadrewski (I joke here as usual but he did really know what he was talking about, so did Ian.) … Continue reading → The post Ep. 844 – F1 ROC: Race of Champions & F1 ROC II: Race of Champions (SNES) appeared first on TADPOG: Tyler and Dave Play Old Games.

And for me and my bro, one of those games was Jaws for the NES.To be fair, it actually isn't the worst NES game based on a movie in the NES library. Or the worst LJN NES game for that matter. You sail around in a boat killing animals and collecting shells that you use for stronger guns to shoot Jaws. You also bomb jellyfish from a plane. And that's, well, that's pretty much. It isn't particular deep, but it's not particularly awful, either. My boy Dan from Dissect That Film returns to this week to talk about hunting sharks. He also gives me a bit of an explanation as to how this ties into the movie, WHICH movie it ties into, and we talk about ideas for a modern jaws game as well. This episode is longer than the game is. It's not a flex, but it is a fact. And before we look for a bigger boat, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week someone asks if Mass Effect 1 is worth getting through to reach the phenomenal Mass Effect 2? A few people ask about Kingdom Hearts, so I share my long-standing thoughts on that series and why I don't want to touch it. And what do I consider to be must-play NES and SNES games??Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features 3 NES movie games: Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, and Nightmare on Elm Street.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
The boizz went beyond once again, for the tenth Beyond 16-Bit episode. Of course there are still tracks that sound like they could have come from the third and fourth generation. Jake Kaufman's distinct retro style shines in "Credits" from Regular Show: Mordecai and Rigby in 8-Bit Land. Enrique Martin (Pentadrangle) also kills it with a modern take on the classic approach in "
