Lured Up Podcast 372: Spending With Reckless Abandon Live Streamed on - 11/18/25 Publish Date - 11/21/25 What an incredible month of gameplay we are getting. Since the level cap increase, the game and community have felt alive and well, with excitement, motivation, and dedication flowing all around us. We recap our last week of gameplay through Into The Wild, the Silver Bottlecap, and finally, with Wild Area:Global. Adam was able to make the most of his limited gameplay and Raided from the toilet, while Ken was able to get 16 hours of core gameplay in Red Bank and Philly. The Community Celebration Event in Philly was incredible. It somehow captured the magic of a much larger IRL event like GO Fest, in a City Safari like setting. Niantic may really be on to something here, as these events capture the magic of a large event, while being powered by local communities, which sets a unique tone for the gameplay. Nearly 1,500 Trainers checked in on Campfire and Raid Trains packed with a few hundred Trainers were marching through the city for the entirety of the event. A group of creators was able to meetup at the event to bring their individual styles of gameplay and content to the community. We take a look at each of the featured creators, and highly recommend you check them out and give them a follow. There is some real magic to be had when you combine core gameplay, and creators that like to get their hands dirty on the grind. We have a few remaining events in November, with High Voltage keeping us busy until this weekend's DMAX Eevee Max Battle Weekend. With Eevee only being Tier 2, most Trainers will have no problem taking it down. We hope you saved some Max Particles from Wild Area, because making sure you can evolve into the full line, you are going to need a fair amount of DMAX Eevee in your inventory. Don't forget to take advantage of Trade Day on Sunday to help you fill in your missing Eeveelutions. In today's Daily Fix:A financial report from Ubisoft may have revealed the release date for the long-rumored Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag remake. An entry for an 'unannounced title' dropped March 31st, 2026 is fueling speculation that the remake will be announced soon. The title is supposedly being made by the Ubisoft Shanghai team, the same studio behind Skull & Bones, which itself started as a spinoff of the original AC: Black Flag. In other news, some old friends will be popping up in Resident Evil: Requiem, but don't get too excited over the possibility of playing as multiple protagonists. Requiem's producer confirmed that past characters will show up, but he said to not "over-hype it." And finally, Nintendo is taking down fan-made character art in Kirby Air Riders, specifically those of a bikini-clad Chef Kawasaki. Yes, that's a sentence you just read.

Growing up near Microsoft and Nintendo in Redmond, Washington, he found real estate "incredibly boring" until witnessing how it connected to fascinating industries. After his father and grandfather passed away during his senior year of high school, Nick moved to Florida to pursue professional wakeboarding, eventually earning a podium finish at the World Championships in 2011 while graduating summa cum laude from the University of Central Florida. The dean of UCF's real estate program, whose son was also a professional athlete, reignited Nick's interest in commercial real estate investment and development. Nick started in land brokerage during 2011-2012 when Florida land was worth less than the buildings next to it, learning through challenging cold calls to developers. FIRST DEAL LESSONS: Nick's entry into investing came through a vacant Taco Bell property. Working with a broker partner, they secured the building, signed a 10-year lease with a new tenant, and only had to replace the HVAC and roof. The timing proved fortunate - securing 80% loan to value at 2% interest on an interest-only basis during the post-financial crisis recovery. That first deal taught valuable lessons about protecting downside risk and building tenant relationships while delivering one of his strongest returns ever. CAPITAL RAISING EVOLUTION: For his first capital raise, Nick bought an old bank branch all cash with plans to tear it down and build a quick service restaurant. To protect downside risk as a new sponsor, he structured it with no debt and two years of interest and tax reserves. After approaching friends' parents, fellow brokers, and creating a detailed investment memorandum, a tenant approached wanting to lease the existing building as-is with a 10-year lease. Nick refinanced at 50% LTV, pulled equity out, and used those proceeds to buy a second deal. That snowball effect has grown to approximately 100 investors making about 500 investments with his company. KEY INSIGHTS: Nick continues syndicating individual deals instead of raising funds because his deals follow similar patterns with consistent return theses. This approach gives investors freedom to select which markets and property types align with their preferences while maintaining speed to close. Managing investor capital creates heightened responsibility that sharpens every aspect of deal execution. Nick approaches it similarly to personally guaranteeing loans - while losing your own capital is unfortunate, losing someone else's carries profound implications for relationships and reputation. The biggest lesson from deals that didn't go as planned: contracts matter, but people matter just as much. When tenants respond unusually quickly to lease documents without redlines for 10-15 year commitments, it raises red flags. During Covid, high-credit tenants had attorneys advising them to stop paying rent while small bay industrial mom and pop tenants maintained perfect payment records. BROKER RELATIONSHIPS: The majority of Nick's deals come through brokers he's built long-term relationships with over years. These relationships prove valuable because brokers trust Nick will maintain confidentiality, move quickly through underwriting, and they understand his investment criteria. After years of exchanging deals and feedback, brokers know which opportunities match his thesis. MARKET TRENDS: Interest rate movements create near-term positivity while inflation continues hitting sectors unevenly, creating inefficiencies and opportunities. The retail apocalypse predictions following Covid haven't materialized because people still crave experiences. Drive-throughs represent a clear trend as efficiency becomes paramount - almost every concept has figured out how to use them successfully, including Chipotle proving the model works for food types that seemed ill-suited initially. With the last feature film being Star Trek Beyond in 2016, there's been little movement on both the Chris Pine-led series and new takes on the universe, but this new film will move forward unconnected to anything done previously.Glen Powell in The Running Man was a favored first place winner at the box office this weekend, but was ousted by the sleight of hand of Now You See Me: Now You Don't, the third movie in that franchise. Now You See Me racked up a global $75 million opening, while The Running Man limped across the finish line at $28 million. This marks Powell's first big box office miss, when compared to openings for Twisters, Top Gun: Maverick, and Anybody But You, but the action film did have to compete against Predator: Badlands, which is holding strong at the box office still.Nintendo and Illumination have released the first trailer for Super Mario Galaxy, the follow up to 2023's hit The Super Mario Brothers Movie. The film will hit theaters on April 3rd, 2026. The trailer reveals some new characters and cast members including Bowser Jr. who will be voiced by Benny Safdie and Rosalina who will be voiced by Brie Larson.Amazon Prime has released a new, extended trailer for “Fallout” Season 2. The season begins streaming on December 17.20th Century Studios has released a very short teaser trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2, the follow up to the 2006 fashion comedy that starred Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, who are reprising their roles for the sequel. The film opens on May 1, 2026.Apple TV has set Friday, February 27 for the Season 2 premiere of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters and has dropped a first trailer. The 10-episode second season will premiere globally on Feb. 27 with the first episode, followed by one episode every Friday until May 1.Disney has released the first trailer for the live action adaptation of Moana which hits theaters on July 10, 2026.According to Deadline, Sadie Sink will appear in Avengers: Secret Wars following her appearance in Spider-Man Brand New Day.Hideo Kojima‘s groundbreaking video game franchise Death Stranding is set to expand with an all-new animated series that's heading to Disney+. The show, which is titled Death Stranding Isolations is expected to debut sometime in 2027.Peacock has decided not to renew Poker Face for a third season. Natasha Lyonne exits as star, but series creator Rian Johnson has begun an effort to shop the show to other broadcasters for a two-season commitment and has cast Peter Dinklage to take over the role of Charlie Cale from Natasha Lyonne.Sony Pictures has picked up the rights to the Chinese doll brand Labubu with the intent to launch a franchise based on the dolls in the near future.Nintendo's live action Legend of Zelda movie has begun production and Nintendo social media accounts posted first look images earlier this week of Link and Zelda, the film's main characters. The film is currently set for release in May of 2027.Peacock has renewed Twisted Metal for a third season, with David Reed taking over as showrunner and executive producer following Michael Jonathan Smith's exit. Reed has previously been a producer on series like Supernatural and The Boys.
