Introduction: How do you know that you may have left our first Love? Here are 10 evidences that you may have left your First Love. 1. You can go a day without having more than a passing thought of Him. 2. You don’t have a strong desire to spend with Him. (Devotional time) 3. You don’t have a hunger for the Word: Bible reading is a chore- something to mark off your to-do list. 4. Spending time prayer is a burden/duty rather than a delight. 5. Your worship is formal, dry, lifeless, merely going through the motions. 6. Private prayer life and worship are almost non-existent… cold and dry. 7. You have little appetite for spiritual food/the word of God. 8. Christianity is more about what you do rather than who you are (performance-based Christianity) “doing vs. being” Who are you when no one's looking? 9. You prefer hanging out with people who don’t know Christ rather than your family in the faith. 10. You almost never share your faith with others. You have no compassion for the lost headed to hell. The church of Ephesus may have left their first love in 4 ways 1. They left their Love for God 2. They left their Love for each other 3 They left their Love for lost souls 4. Or, all 3
