There are two other spoken versions of this hackbook floating around on the internet. Neither of which I though was helpful for the average listener. 1) A 5 1/2 hour Youtube version, which cannot be navigated easily. 2) A 5 episode podcast which, while the author's voice is wonderful, the audio suffers from one episode to the next. I will therefore be recording this hackbook and making it available. I am not the original author, and I am asking for no compensation in any way for making this available.

Registered Citizen is back! After a lengthy hiatus, we are back to talk about two news stories of people using the Sex Offender registry to hunt down registered citizens.

In episode 3 of Registered Citizen, I begin to tell my story of abuse while in the custody of the Florida Department of Corrections. This will be a multi-episode story. It indicates that the prisoners might not be the most dangerous people in prison. NOTE: This episode is marked explicit for some language.

It's all too easy to discount those with sex offenses, figuring that they deserve their punishment. But what about the loved ones being punished too? In this episode, I read a story from the girlfriend of a registered citizen, and the issues she faces because of her association with him. I also discuss the differences in public perception vs reality in the re-offense rate of sex offenders. Source for re-offense rate by registered sex offenders.

In this inaugural episode of Registered Citizen I introduce myself and the premise of the podcast. I give an example of common type of sex offender restriction (residency), and why it misses the mark. I introduce NARSOL (National Association for Rational Sex Offense Laws - narsol.org) and FAC (Florida Action Committee - floridaactioncommittee.org). I then further explain what the podcast will never advocate for. I challenge the listeners to think of sex offender laws in a critical way before closing with words of encouragement.
