In this plenary talk from TGC25, Mark Vroegop teaches from Ephesians 2:11-22. He talks about the compelling need to remember our redemption and its results, to understand how our vertical reconciliation to God effects our horizontal reconciliation with each other. In response, Vroegop calls for the church to embody the unity and diversity that is foretold in Revelation 7. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Share a commentStart with the claim that unsettles our religious reflexes: if Abraham wasn't justified by works, no one is. We open Romans 4 and watch Paul pull Genesis onto the witness stand, showing that Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness. That single line reframes the whole debate about salvation, boasting, and the kind of faith that actually saves. The core is legal and liberating: God removes the sinner's record and imputes Christ's righteousness, not as a wage but as a gift. No baptism required to trigger it, no giving to secure it, no membership to seal it—only faith in the promised Messiah. We take on the legends that painted Abraham as inherently worthy, sinless, and chosen because he was better than others. Scripture refuses that flattery. Genesis records fear, half-truths, and God's intervention with Pharaoh. A pagan rebukes the patriarch, and consequences follow—wealth that divides, Hagar that complicates, and a legacy that still shapes headlines. Yet grace holds. Abraham returns, calls on the Lord, and stands under a promise that doesn't budge with his performance. The takeaway is not that sin is small, but that grace is greater and justification is anchored in God's promise rather than human effort.Along the way, we confront a modern problem with ancient roots: swapping revelation for opinion. The refrain what does the Bible say pulls us out of spiritual guesswork and into bedrock truth. The gospel hasn't changed in 4,000 years—Old Testament saints looked forward to Messiah; we look back to Him. Abraham becomes every believer's mentor not because he was flawless, but because he trusted the God who justifies the ungodly. If you're tired of trying to earn what God freely gives, this conversation will reset your hope and renew your obedience as fruit, not currency. If this helped you see grace more clearly, tap follow, share it with a friend who needs courage, and leave a review so others can find the message of faith alone in Christ alone. The first of Stephen's two volumes set through the Book of Revelation is now available. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FQ3XCJMYSupport the showStephen's latest book, The Disciples Prayer, is available now. https://www.wisdomonline.org/store/view/the-disciples-prayer-hardback

Share a commentGrace doesn't wait for perfect conditions; it reaches the soul right where life feels unmoved. We close our journey through Philippians by tracing how Paul's final lines pull the whole letter into focus: greet every saint, honor the family of faith, and rest in the grace that Christ applies to the spirit, not the circumstances. Along the way, we dismantle the myth of sainthood as a status for a rare few and recover the New Testament vision—saints are all believers set apart in Christ, called, known, and needed. We walk through Paul's four circles of greeting: the local church in Philippi, the brothers beside him, the wider community of believers in Rome, and the surprising believers within Caesar's household. Each circle reveals something vital about a gospel-shaped community. Leaders speak dignity to every member. Brothers and sisters belong to each other because they belong to Christ. Bridges get built even when disappointment lingers. And the gospel advances in unlikely places, reminding us that grace is not fragile; it flourishes under pressure.Throughout the conversation, we keep returning to the center—Jesus Christ. Identity, joy, contentment, and perseverance are not self-manufactured; they are rooted in union with Him. That means we don't pray on the strength of a good week, and we don't serve on the basis of a flawless record. We live under a lavish downpour of unmerited favor, enough for each trial and every day until faith becomes sight. If you've ever wondered whether you're worthy to be used by God, or if your past disqualifies you from hope, this message invites you to breathe again: you are a saint by calling, a sibling in a family, and a witness to grace at work.If this encouraged you, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs hope, and leave a review to help others discover these teachings.

What is really meant by the “Mark of the Beast” in Revelation 13—and why does it matter for Catholics today? In this episode, Steve Wood breaks open one of the most debated passages in biblical prophecy, explaining what Revelation 13:16-18 teaches about the Antichrist, allegiance, apostasy, and the spiritual dangers Christians will face before Christ's Second Coming. Drawing from Scripture, the Early Church Fathers, the Didache, Hippolytus, Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, the Catechism (CCC 675–677), and comments from Pope Benedict XVI, Steve shows why the warning in Revelation 13 is not limited to first-century Rome. This episode offers a clear, accessible explanation of one of the most misunderstood passages in Revelation—and why its message is essential for every believer preparing for the ultimate battle between Christ and the forces of evil. Listen now to better understand the Mark of the Beast, the rise of the Antichrist, and the Church's prophetic teaching for the end times. We're in Revelation chapter 14 today, as we look at the first of two reapers--The Son of Man.
Sunday Evening Service - November 16, 2025 Steven Dell Exodus 3:1-12
In this continuation of last Sunday's message, we dive deeper into what it truly means to walk in the fear of the Lord and why this virtue is at the core of spiritual growth, obedience, and intimacy with God. Rev. Roland Anang explores how Jesus Himself operated in the sevenfold Spirit of God and how the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord empowered Him to live a life fully pleasing to the Father. This message exposes why many believers today lack spiritual power, reverence, and sensitivity – and how returning to holy fear is the key to restoration. We rediscover the foundational principle that shaped every great man of God — from Moses to David, Solomon, the prophets, the apostles, and ultimately Jesus Christ. This is a life-transforming call back to holy reverence, obedience, and spiritual sensitivity so that the presence and power of God can be restored to the believer and to the Church.

Share a commentA thank-you note written in chains shouldn't feel this joyful, but Paul's letter to the Philippians turns generosity into worship, partnership, and a promise with real weight. We walk through Philippians 4:14–20 to show how a small church that “gave until it hurt” became equal partners in the work of the gospel—and even in its reward. When others forgot Paul, Philippi remembered. Their loyalty paid past debts, covered present needs, and overflowed into future ministry, not just for Paul but for everyone tied to their account. We unpack what koinonia really means: not potlucks or polite fellowship, but deep, sacrificial investment. Paul borrows banking language to say their giving “increases to your account,” the compounding interest of eternal reward. Then he shifts to temple language—“a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice”—to frame generosity as worship God sees and values. That blend of market and altar imagery grounds a famous promise often pulled out of context: “My God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Not a blank check, but a pledge to givers who meet real needs with real sacrifice. “According to his riches” means provision measured by the Giver's wealth, not by our limits.Along the way, we revisit Philippi's origin story—Lydia's hospitality, a freed slave girl, a jailer's family—and trace how gratitude matured into ongoing support. We also face the sobering reality of missed opportunities from other churches and ask what investments we might be overlooking today. The episode crescendos with Paul's doxology, moving from “my God” to “our God,” inviting us into shared praise and shared mission. If you're hungry for a faith that turns dollars into doxology and partnership into purpose, this conversation will sharpen your vision for giving that lasts. If this resonated, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs courage to give, and leave a review to help others find it. “And when he took the scroll, the four living beings and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp, and they held gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.” (Revelation 5:8 NLT) God is omniscient, which means He knows all things. Nothing can surprise Him. There is no unexpected occurrence with Him. That’s important to keep in mind, especially when we pray. In fact, a great way to begin any prayer is to give praise and thanks to God for His omniscience. Celebrating the fact that He knows everything puts us in the proper frame of mind to bring our requests to Him. Otherwise, we may start to doubt when our prayer requests seem to go unanswered. The reality is that God answers every prayer—in His way, for His glory, in His time. Revelation 5:8 gives us an interesting detail about Heaven: “And when he took the scroll, the four living beings and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp, and they held gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of God’s people” (NLT). When we’re in Heaven, standing before God’s throne, and those golden bowls, full of prayers, are brought before us, we’ll realize that God heard every little prayer that we prayed. And I think we also will understand that His answer to each one was far better than what we asked for in the moment. We will realize that God overruled something we asked for because it wasn’t the best prayer. What we don’t realize today is that this hardship, or this tragedy, or this inexplicable event will ultimately lead to a chain reaction of events that touches the lives of so many others and changes the course of the future in ways we could never imagine. It is a butterfly effect that leads to glorify God’s plan for us. When we pray, we can see only one part of that chain reaction—the one that immediately affects us. We need to trust God to accomplish the bigger picture. We need to accept that the thing we want to go away, or the circumstance that looms so large in our life, is there to give God glory. We may not be able to see how, so we must trust the Lord, knowing that it all will be revealed in Heaven when we stand before Him. Some prayers are answered right away. And we can be thankful for that. On the other hand, some prayers are answered long after they’re prayed. And we can thank God for that, too. Because He knows everything. He sees every possible contingency. He sees every possible outcome. He knows precisely when to act in order to bring about ultimate good. His timing is always perfect. So, instead of praying for God to work according to our imperfect understanding of things, according to our imperfect timetable, we can leave our requests with Him and trust Him to answer them in His perfect knowledge and in His perfect time. Instead, it is the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit inside of our lives. And because he is holy, I am holy in him. He imparts his holiness to me as I abide in him.
The Christian church is worldwide, but it's also localized. We have community churches, life groups, small group Bible studies. But no matter where they are, however large or small, they should have at least one practical thing in common. Dr. Ron shares that commonality with us next, as he continues his Something Good Radio teaching series, “The Ultimate Road Trip Through The Bible: The General Epistles and Revelation.”

In this episode of Worldview Legacy Today, Joel Settecase explains one of the most powerful arguments for the divine authorship of Scripture — the Argument from Foreshadowing. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is filled with events, symbols, and prophecies that anticipate future realities—especially the coming of Jesus Christ. These connections aren't coincidences. They're evidence that the Bible has one ultimate Author: God Himself.Joel also gives an update on the incredible progress of The Think Institute, including the success of the Every Church Activated Campaign, new resources in the Apologetics Directory, and the growing fellowship of the Hammer & Anvil Society. You'll Learn:Why biblical foreshadowing proves divine authorshipHow to recognize foreshadowing as distinct from prophecyKey examples that connect the Old Testament to ChristWhat the success of the Every Church Activated Campaign means for the ministryHow The Think Institute is equipping men, churches, and families in 2025Key Scriptures:Psalm 41:9, Zechariah 11:12–13, Matthew 26:15, Matthew 27:5–7, 2 Timothy 3:16Referenced Resources:The Bible's Use of Foreshadowing Shows That Its Author Is God — https://thethink.institute/articles/the-bibles-use-of-foreshadowing-shows-that-its-author-is-godOrigins: A Christian Worldview & Philosophy Course — https://thethink.institute/storeCalls to Action:Join the Hammer & Anvil Society (try free for 8 weeks): https://thethink.institute/societyPartner with The Think Institute to equip more churches: https://thethink.institute/partnerListen to More Episodes:Podcast: https://thethink.institute/podcastYouTube: https://youtube.com/thethinkinstituteHashtags:#ThinkInstitute #WorldviewLegacyToday #Apologetics #BiblicalForeshadowing #BibleTruth #ChristianWorldview #PresuppositionalApologetics #DivineAuthorship #Christianity
In Part 3 of our Heaven series on the City Rev Life Podcast, Jeremy Agosto and Pastor Robey Barnes explore one of the biggest misconceptions about eternity—that heaven will be boring. Drawing from Revelation 21, they unpack the Bible's picture of the New Jerusalem as a physical, vibrant, and fully developed city where God's people engage in meaningful, joy-filled activity. They discuss how worship is far more than singing, how work becomes creative partnership with God, and how understanding heaven shapes the way we live today. This episode challenges listeners to bring kingdom principles into their everyday lives and reflect the coming reality of heaven on earth.
Satan's Little Season eschatology has become a popular alternative to the dispensational mainstream that has corrupted evangelical Christianity. Compared to the Judaizing beliefs of dispensationalists, SLS seems like it aligns more with reality. But is it true? Things are not what they seem, and people who believe in SLS eschatology don't realize that these beliefs are only about 30 years old, and that they originally trace to the Jesuits. Today we will debunk Satan's Little Season eschatology using the objective foundation of God's word. Those who choose to be honest with God's word will learn, and those who choose to remain paranoid, relying on self-determined speculations will not learn. * 00:00 - Introduction* 14:18 - What is Satan's Little Season?* 21:35 - What SLS Gets Right* 45:17 - The Sovereignty of God* 1:28:07 - The History of Satan's Little Season* 2:32:38 - Biblical Refutation: The Book of Daniel* 3:01:59 - Biblical Refutation: The Book of Revelation* 3:15:20 - Biblical Refutation: The Millennium * 3:54:59 - Biblical Refutation: 2 Thessalonians 2* 4:10:04 - Biblical Refutation: Recapitulation* 4:58:41 - Historical Proofs* 5:52:34 - Final Thoughts This is a public episode. For centuries, Western Christianity has taught that hell means eternal conscious torment—but what if that's based on a mistranslation? This sermon digs into the Greek text of Revelation 20, the "millennium debate," and why early church theologians read the "lake of fire" as refining transformation rather than endless punishment. Drawing on scholarship about the word aion (age, not eternity) and the character of a God whose "mercy endures forever," this message offers a different framework: one where death itself dies, where the fire is surgical rather than sadistic, and where justice work—though painful—becomes participation in resurrection. Especially relevant for anyone processing church hurt, questioning traditional theology, or wondering what it means to work for justice when systems feel immovable. Also includes honest reflection on loss, community endings, and what happens when good things die.
Today's readings: Psalm 101; Psalm 109:1-4, 20-30; Psalm 119:121-144; Revelation 21:9-21; Matthew 17:22-27
Pastor Brandon teaches on how essential witnessing is in our growth as Christians this week. Witnessing has always been essential in a Christians life and helps us to grow in maturity every day. Telling others about Jesus and what he has done in our lives helps us to know God better and trust Him more. Sharing what God has done in our lives is essential! - Key Verses // 1 Corinthians 2:1, Romans 10:13-15, Revelation 12:10-11 - For Sermon Notes, the Connect Card, and our other online resources: https://linktr.ee/Celebrationchurchlive
For modern audiences like us, these concluding chapters may feel more drudgery than delight, but for the original audience, these final depictions would have been the most exciting. Ezekiel once brought a message of condemnation and despair, but now that those prophecies have come true and Israel has spent 25 years in exile, Ezekiel brings a message of hope and restoration. Some of today's revelation is other-worldly, as Ezekiel sees a river coming from under the temple, recalling the garden of Eden, the tree depicted in Psalm 1, all while pointing us toward the river seen in the book of Revelation.Ezekiel 46 - 1:06 . Ezekiel 47 - 6:16 . Ezekiel 48 - 12:00 . We're watching as resistance to God's Kingdom increases and darkness in our nation and around the globe grows bolder—but when we learn to recognize God's character, intentions, and voice, His movement in the earth becomes more visible than the expressions of evil around us. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the figure and spirit of antichrist discussed in the book of Revelation. He offers history about the expressions of the antichrist we've witnessed before, and he shares how we can persevere in the face of growing lawlessness and persecution. We have a choice to make: Will we capitulate to fear and darkness, or will we decide to focus our attention and energy on the triumphant Lion of Judah?
