My show is called "Tala Mo Le Moe" or in translation from Samoan "Story for Sleep." I have always loved hearing the stories of my family and of our people as a little girl. It was extra special to me when they were told to me as I was going to sleep because that meant I would dream about our people. I believe in telling our Oceania histories and stories through the spoken word. What better way for you and I to learn these stories than through the medium our ancestors used? And I believe in telling your children bedtime stories. So why not put two and two together? Hence, this podcast idea was born. You and your children will be able to do both, together, at the same time, no matter where you are. Get bonus content on Patreon See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

The legend of the Shark and the Turtle is one of Samoa's most popular stories. It is one that has helped to shape my life today, and I hope that it can offer the same magic to you. May you feel the bonds that we have with our ancestors, just like the bond the shark and the turtle have with one another. Sweet dreams! Manuia le po!
