West Los Angeles College assesses Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) for all courses offered on campus. This continuous improvement process occurs on a three semester cycle. This workshop will focus on the assessment, revision and possible implementation of changes to course SLOs. Our course assessment tool will be discussed.
Puzzled at the idea of visiting a virtual classroom? Join us as we explore some models for evaluating our colleagues who teach online. We will consider how to make the observations the contract calls for and how to make the evaluation useful for the instructor, the division and the students. If you have been evaluating instructors of online courses forever and have a great system, come share it.
