We're taking it way back to our first episode ever. Why? When it comes to explosive topics like the death penalty and abortion, we've realised that it's easy to get caught up in the legalities and our own ideas and opinions. While discussing these topics in office, we've had to remind ourselves that the people we're talking about are still human. A conversation that never gets old... Abortion. It's been at the focal point of political debates, dinner discussions and social media posts. Pro-lifers and pro-choice communities have been fighting for decades. This week we discuss our views on abortion and where we lie with our beliefs on whether or not we agree with it. Mention gender privilege and you're likely to hear a vast array of opinions, exclamations and arguments. We're a wonderfully diverse species and that certainly comes through on topics like these. We discuss gender, the privileges of each, how it's currently manifesting and just generally discuss it. Please give us your input! We're merely humans, trying to decipher the world we live in and make sense of it all. We're definitely wrong at times, we know you have different opinions and we want to honour that.
You'd think it's an easy question. We did too, at first. The further we delved into it, the more complex we realised it is. We also took to the streets of the local university in Cape Town, South Africa to find out what students have to say on the topic.
