On this week's Billboard Pop Shop Podcast, Katie & Keith are chatting through the 2026 Grammy nominations, starting with the Big Four categories (album, record and song of the year, plus best new artist), and continuing with our pop-focused musings down the list. Question No. 1: Why is "Golden" -- the breakout hit from Netflix's musical juggernaut KPop Demon Hunters -- nominated in the song of the year category but not record of the year? With its sky-high vocals courtesy of the real-life women behind the animated K-pop groiup HUNTR/X (EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI) and its electric, inescapable electronic production, it feels tailor-made for the category honoring the recording of a song. What if dementia care could be guided by love and knowledge — not fear? Dr. Ethelle Lord joins Betsy Wurzel to share how education is changing caregiving forever. In this enlightening episode of Chatting with Betsy, host Betsy Wurzel speaks with Dr. Ethelle Lord, founder of the International Caregivers Association (ICA) and a pioneer in transforming how dementia care is taught and delivered worldwide. Betsy and Dr. Lord share their personal caregiving journeys and the deep love that continues long after loss. Dr. Lord discusses her mission to empower family caregivers, professionals, and organizations through compassion, training, and advocacy — helping them understand the human side of dementia. She introduces her groundbreaking Transactional Dementia Intelligence (TDI) Business Model of Dementia Care (SM) — a holistic system that blends education, coaching, and care across home and facility environments. This approach helps caregivers and staff move beyond routine care toward meaningful connection and empathy.Together, Betsy and Dr. Lord explore the importance of caregiver education and the positive impact it has on both caregivers and their loved ones. They discuss how validation and understanding can prevent agitation, reduce stress, and restore dignity for individuals living with dementia. Dr. Lord also highlights the role of prevention — through healthy eating, regular exercise, and avoiding smoking, alcohol, and drugs — as part of overall brain health. She introduces a fascinating “voice scan” test, a promising tool for detecting early signs of Alzheimer's, diabetes, and other conditions. This conversation is filled with hope, insight, and inspiration. How Dr. Ethelle Lord Is Transforming Dementia Care reminds every listener that true change begins with education, empathy, and the courage to see caregiving as both an art and a mission.
We certainly enjoyed having Zach Petersen hang out with us for our season finale! This young man is so charming I almost adopted him by the end of the pod. Seriously though, we are talking focused, driven and mega potential here. As a super accomplished artist in many categories I believe the rap/hip-hop music calling is where Zach Petersen belongs. He is a complete natural. We kinda got off track and had some technical difficulties (as usual) but this was good episode to meet Zach and I think a good message from all of this is Zach Petersen's next goal is to be straight up marketing to make that direct label connection! We will see what happens next season when we have Zach back! Whoo hooo! Thank you Zach Petersen Music! That's a wrap folks! See you all next year! Happy Holidays, buckle up and watch for motorcycles!

Send us a textEpisode SummaryThis week, Kyle dives into three powerful listener questions that hit at the heart of modern communication:Has social media destroyed our ability to have real, respectful dialogue? How can we stand firm in what we believe without being labeled “close-minded”?And how do we keep seeing the person before their opinion when things get tense? In a culture that rewards outrage over understanding, Kyle unpacks how we got here — and how we can start turning things around, one conversation at a time. This episode isn't about picking sides. It's about reclaiming how we talk, why we listen, and what it means to disagree with integrity. In This Episode Social Media & The Death of Dialogue: Is the algorithm designed to divide us? Conviction vs. Close-Mindedness: How to stand strong without shutting down. Seeing People, Not Profiles: Why empathy is your greatest tool in hard conversations. Practical Tools: Real techniques for de-escalating, listening, and responding without anger. Why We Still Have Hope: How podcasts, communities, and honest voices are rebuilding trust — conversation by conversation. Key TakeawaysYou can disagree fiercely without disrespecting someone. The algorithm isn't evil — but we have to use it intentionally.Listening doesn't mean surrendering your beliefs — it means strengthening them.Seeing people as more than their opinions changes every conversation.Real dialogue is the most radical act in a divided culture.Intro: Head In The Clouds by Matthew MorelockOutro: Surfaces Type Beat - Jellyfish BeatsSocial Media:Insta/X: kyleTHEhortonYoutube: KyletalkssTiktok: KyleTalkssSend your question in @ KyleTalksPodcast@gmail.comSupport the show
