This podcast is about sharing the uniqueness of everyone’s perspective. Everyone has a voice that deserves to be heard. Host Harry Millison talks with strangers to hear their stories and ask them questions about their experiences, advice they’d give, and more.
In this episode, I talk with Tracey. Tracey was actually someone I randomly asked to interview in the airport when I first started this project 2 years ago and we’ve kept in touch ever since. That day in the airport actually turned out to be a day full of spontaneous experiences for Tracey but I’ll let her tell you that story.
In this episode, I talk with Gabe. Gabe and I met during our freshman year of college and have been friends ever since. While we may have gone on our own paths since graduation, Gabe is one of those friends where I feel like we can pick up our friendship at any point. In the episode we catch up on what we’ve been up to since graduation, talk about the state of the world, and tell some travel stories.
In this episode, I talk with Christian. Christian is the host of the Art of Human podcast where he shares insightful perspectives from people of all walks of life. In our conversation, we talk about learning through execution, how listening to other perspectives has shaped our own, and our mutual respect for Gary Vaynerchuck and how he has impacted our outlook on life.
In this episode, I talk with Max. As a way to meet new people for the project, I had been sending friend requests to members of the Yes Fam Facebook group, the online community for viewers of the Yes Theory YouTube channel, and ended up sending Max a request. He checked out my project and volunteered to be a part of it. Max and I swap travel stories, talk about our passions for content creation, and why it’s important to figure out your why so you can create with intention.
In this episode, I talk with Cam. When I initially posted on Instagram that I was turning this project into a podcast, Cam was one of the first people to volunteer to be a guest. I felt that Cam and I each showed up as our genuine selves in our conversation and I’m very appreciative of his authenticity and support of this project.
In this episode, I talk with Jeremy Greene, the creator behind the @jeremytalkstostrangers Instagram account. Jeremy started his account as a challenge to himself to fight his social anxiety. He now shares his insights on his podcast The Social Ninjas with co-host Kyle Mitchell. During our conversation, Jeremy and I talk about stories from our travels, our journey’s of finding self-love, and how we all need to be “taking more reps”.
In this episode, I talk with my friend and college roommate Scott. Scott and I have been friends for 7 years now and have seen each other grow and navigate through our young adult years. We talk about our college experience, our paths to finding our passions, and how music has influenced Scott’s life.
A couple of years ago, my sister introduced me to a social media project called robs10kfriends where a guy is meeting 10,000 people one on one for an hour at a time to share their stories and inspire others to seek human connection in their daily lives. That guy is Rob Lawless, and a few weeks ago I had the privilege of being the 3400th person to be a part of Rob’s project. Due to coronavirus, Rob has taken his project virtual and is meeting with people all over the world through Zoom. As I had plans to launch this podcast in the coming weeks after speaking with Rob, I asked him if I could use our talk as an episode of the Traveling Perspectives podcast. He agreed and sent me the audio and video files from our talk. The following is Rob and I’d conversation where we cover topics like our own backgrounds and experiences, how we each started our respective projects, and what has been our biggest takeaways from hearing people’s stories.
In this episode, I talk with my friend Cana. We lived on the same floor of the dorms during our freshman year of college but haven’t spoken in almost 5 years. Since college, Cana got a job back home in Pensacola, Florida but found herself wanting to do something outside her comfort zone.
In the first ever episode of the Traveling Perspectives podcast, Harry talks with his friend Haley about their time working at Jimmy John’s together, Haley’s experience working in a hostel in Austin, TX, and how they both want to put more action behind their ideas.
In the introduction to the Traveling Perspectives podcast, host Harry Millison talks about the origins of the project, his background, and what the future holds for the project.
