Traveling Transgressions is a True Crime podcast, narrated by Tiffany and Teresa (T & T), that takes you on a journey to uncover many truly mind blowing transgressions. Each week we will be in a new state and after we have traveled the US and it’s territo
This episode is about a woman who is largely incapacitated due to congenital health issues as well as a near drowning accident in early childhood. At 29 she was sexually assaulted by a caregiver. This encounter resulted in a pregnancy that was not diagnosed until the baby was being born due to incompetence on the part of the medical staff at the facility where she was being cared for. Although tragic her circumstances were able to bring about changes that will hopefully prevent another patient from being harmed in the future.
Unfortunately, we haven't been able to release new episodes lately due to some health issues, so we wanted to release a bonus bloopers episode to make y'all laugh! We will be releasing a new episode monthly for the next couple of months just to allow us to get caught back up but then we will return to our regularly scheduled programming. Enjoy!!
In the 1970s and 80s a serial killer was on the loose in Alaska. He raped and murdered 17 women and raped over 30 in the Anchorage area. This episode discusses the last 2 victims to be identified; Horseshoe Harriet who was recently identified as Robin Pelkey and Eklutna Annie who is still waiting to be given her name back. While looking for this story we noticed an unusually high volume of serial killers or killers in general in Alaska and wondered why there were so many. We discuss some suspected reasons that make Alaska prime real estate for transgression. http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/311ufak.html https://seasonofjustice.org
This story is about a young woman, Megan Montgomery, who struggled in silence like may experiencing domestic violence do. Although picture perfect from the outside she suffered mental and physical abuse at the hands of her husband. Megan tried to leave multiple times, one of which was after she was shot in the arm, but it is hard to walk away. Eventually she moved out, got her own place and started divorce proceedings, but her husband wouldn't let her go. Join us for the sad, but all too common story of Megan Montgomery. http://www.cfbham.org/megans-fund/
