As you may or may not know, at the University of Central Florida, about one in every four undergraduate students are first-generation. The First Generation program assists first generation students by providing guidance and resources to promote their self esteem, confidence and academic achievement at the university. From November 4th until November 8th, the First Generation Program will be hosting the First Generation Week! This event seeks to celebrate the successes of first-generation students, faculty,staff and administrators, and also encourage the university community to better understand systemic barriers in higher education impacting the student success of first-generation students while better understanding the social and academic supports students need to thrive. #ChargeOn #UCFKnights #UCFFirstGen #UCFLunchBreak
