Excited to be releasing a new interview today with Urban Archeologist, Greg Van Antwerp! In this first episode of the new year, Greg explains what it means to be an Urban Archeologist, and the joy it can bring to someone when he's able to return an artifact that's been lost or misplaced for years, back to its owner! It was fascinating to hear all of the unique finds he's made over the years that not only have such strong meaning to the original owner but to history. To get ahold of Greg, visit his website at: www.foundAstory.com or on Instagram @urban_archeologiat
The minds ability to protect you from trauma is incredible, because as the sound of destruction fades in the background, the country side falls into a false sense of security. This truly is the calm before the storm!
In the ashes of the attack, the news of the aliens spreads and crowds gather once again, but it seems the aliens are not done yet!
Terror sets in as it's revealed that the visitors from outer space have not come in peace!
After the object lands, the realization that it is more than an asteroid becomes very clear to those gathering around to see "the Aliens from Mars". Terror sets in as we capture our first glimpse of these...monsters from space! Continue the adventure in this new episode of "The War of the Worlds" by H.G. Wells. Read dramatically and accompanied with music and sounds effects. The book will be released in single or two chapter episodes each week.
83 years ago on Oct 30th, 23 year old Orson Welles along with his Mercury Theater company, broadcast his updated version of “The War of the Worlds” by H.G. Wells on live radio! That story threw the nation into chaos then and it continues to do that to this day as it practically paved the way for science fiction. In this episode of Read or Watch, Ken Fay and I discuss the original adaptation of the war of the worlds on radio, then to the silver screen in 1953 and it's more recent adaptation by Steven Spielberg in 2005! Join us as we get a sneak peek into the making of the films as well as how the story has evolved over the years and the different impacts it's had on the science fiction genre!
One of the "Asteroids" has finally landed. All seems normal until something starts knocking, from the INSIDE! Continue the adventure in this two chapter episode of "The War of the Worlds" by H.G. Wells. Read dramatically and accompanied with music and sounds effects. The book will be released in single or two chapter episodes each week.
As the clock struck 8 p.m. in New York City on the night of October 30, 1938, Orson Welles stood on a podium inside a Madison Avenue radio studio. "The War of the Worlds" Radio Broadcast Created a National Panic. Orson Welles' radio drama is the most famous broadcast in radio history. This is not that, but it is my take on H.G. Wells classic novel. Read dramatically and accompanied with music and sounds effects, it should be just as entertaining. The book will be released in single chapter episodes each week.
