Connect to the common information accumulated over time as a collective and through ancestors. Adding to this accumulative information, connect to your own information collected during a lifetime through experience or observation. And then of course, more importantly, find your truest common sensibles when you quiet the mind to connect with the messages in the depths of your soul. There is guidance in the messages of your ancestors. There is intellect in your observations. During these times of uncertainty, we search for stability. A place to land, to be safe, to ride out the storm. There have been times in my life when I have experienced trauma and grief. In these times of pain, sadness and grief people have extended simple kindnesses that have touched my heart in ways I will always remember. Sometimes I think about those times, not so much to go back and relive the pain, but more out of compassion for the people around me. What's going on in their lives? Do they have someone ill at home? Or are they experiencing pain and sadness in their own life? Just like me, the people around me may share celebrations with loved ones but also sadness and grief. I invite you to take a moment and join in this meditation of compassion for ourselves and for those around us because: "Just like me they don't want to feel physical pain or insecurity or rejection.
