Warren has spent years working in wilderness therapy, helping at-risk youth get their life back on track. Rigorous but rewarding wilderness therapy helps teens and young adults get their life back on track and find balance from depression, aggression, and addictions ranging from alcohol to drugs by removing them from the environments and friend-groups that stimulate those behaviors and learn to reflect and develop the internal tools to start building a product life. After biking part of the Colorado trail with his brother, Alex was looking for his next challenge. He had heard of the PCT, but bing from Michigan it was always a major commitment to make the trip down to Southern California. When his contract working in wilderness therapy was coming to an end he realized he now had the gained the in-depth backpack experience he had lacked prior and was already living just a few hours away from the southern trailhead. After working in wilderness therapy, Zoe Lieb journeyed to Mongolia to work with the Mongolian Bankhar Dog Project, a non-profit that is restoring the tradition of raising Bankhar dogs for managing livestock.
