Life is a series of events that takes place somewhere between joy and pain. Over the years I've learned to live the life that God has called me to live, embracing both the laughter and the tears. Many people have poured into my life over a cup of coffee and I'd love to be a part of pouring into yours. Let's talk.
If prayer is the talking part of our communication with God, reading the Bible is the listening. Here are a few tools that I mention in today's episode:Our Daily Bread https://odb.org/The Daily Walk Bible (my favorite) https://www.amazon.com/Daily-Walk-Bible-NIV/dp/1414380623/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1590126438&sr=8-1The Bible Recap http://www.thebiblerecap.com/start***I'll be starting a NEW Bible Recap reading plan with friends on Monday, May 25 on YouVersion!Would you read the bible plan, The Bible Recap with Tara-Leigh Cobble, with me? Everyone has a story. And I can't think of another way to launch this podcast than to simply share some of my story with you. The audio from the following episode was taken from a women's retreat that I spoke at back in February of 2016, entitled "God of the unexpected".
Well, here it is. In the middle of a world wide pandemic, I finally decided to dive into something I've been wanting to do for years but never felt quit ready. Do I feel ready now? Absolutely not. But I'm doing it and I'm doing if afraid. What I hope you find here is encouragement to do the same. To live the life that God has called you to live without fear or shame. I've learned over the years that life is a series of events that happen somewhere between joy and pain and the cycle never ends. One day, you're bringing home a baby, the next day you're burying one. Life keeps cycling between laughter and tears. But God has a way of making all things beautiful in its time. In hindsight, I can look back and see God's hand working in my life. Some things are clear, and other things, some not so much. But I'm learning to trust Him and I pray that you will do the same.
