This is part 2 of my awesome interview with Ken and what a great second part it was! We really dive in to horsemanship and reining but on a level that there is tons to soak up for the person that never will rein and even the person who has for years. Again Ken Sporalsky is a wealth of knowledge and I learned a ton, I hope you will as well! You can find Ken on the web www.sporalskyreining.com or Facebook at Ken Sporalsky and on Instagram @ken_sporalsky Link to becoming a Diamond T Horsemanship Insider www.patreon.com/diamondthorsemanship Find Diamond T Horsemanship om the web www.diamondthorsemanship.com or Facebook Diamond T Horsemanship and Instagram @diamondthorsemanship
Today I was privileged to interview my reining coach and friend Ken Sporalsky of Sporalsky reining horses. While Ken is semi-retired you could say from training and showing he is still actively teaching and doing clinics and is just a wealth of knowledge in all things horsemanship. Both sharing a love for hunting, the outdoors, and the western lifestyle we couldn’t help but go on some rabbit trails of all things western as well. Ken has a cool story and was such a wealth of knowledge and conversation we talked for over 3 hours! So I did cut the interview in half and will make this a two part podcast. I hope you enjoy and please leave a review in iTunes that would be greatly appreciated! Ken can be found on Instagram @ken_sporalsky and Facebook at Ken Sporalsky or on the web www.sporalskyreining.com
Todays topic is Target Training. Now not to take anything from the “method” of target training that is gaining popularity, the focus of this principal is the purposeful use of anything that can take the horses focus off you and let the “target” do the work.
I got the privilege of chatting for an hour plus with my wife owner and operator of Twin Pines Equestrian about her introduction to horses and her horsemanship life story. What a great podcast, Alissa is skilled in dressage and the full scope of English riding and is very passionate in what she does which has led her to explore new ideas styles and a revolutionary new type of training! Enjoy!
Exploring the issues I face as a trainer with horses that are supposed to have riding background but have major issues and in some cases are tougher than unstarted horses. Enjoy, and please tell me what you think!
This episode covers all the details of the startup of a Diamond T Horsemanship membership platform.
