Felix is a renowned investor and financial educator, and the founder of Felix & Friends and The GOAT Academy on YouTube—a guy who is obsessed with teaching people how money actually works. Felix has built a global following by breaking down the mechanics behind money printing, debt, inflation, and the moves happening right now in the bond market that are going to impact every dollar you've ever made or saved.I wanted to talk to Felix because, to be straight with you, we are living through a radical shift in the economy, and most people have no idea how deeply it affects their future. The families sat in the same gallery for five weeks at Plymouth Superior Court. Patrick Clancy's side and Lindsay's parents — Michael and Paula Musgrove — watched over eighty witnesses testify about the deaths of Cora, Dawson, and Callan. Criminal defense attorney Bob Motta of Defense Diaries was in the room for every session.Bob joins Tony Brueski to describe what the broadcast could not capture. He walks through the jury's visible reactions during the prosecution's most difficult evidence — the autopsy testimony, the crime scene descriptions, and ADA Jennifer Sprague's closing argument about how Lindsay used exercise bands on each child separately. Nine women and three men sat through all of it. Bob describes what their faces looked like.He also describes Lindsay's in-person appearance and behavior throughout the trial — the moments she was composed, the moments she was not, and how she responded to specific testimony about her children. Bob addresses the gallery tension during recesses: the tension between the families, the energy between the legal teams, and the silence that filled the hallways when court was not in session. There was a moment when the entire room shifted in one direction. Bob identifies it and explains what it told him about where the case was headed.Listen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? JT also explains why the Steelers don't have to give Joey Porter Jr. a massive extension, and why Pittsburgh should be willing to listen if a first-round pick enters the conversation. Has Cincinnati finally done enough around Joe Burrow for the pressure to shift onto him and Zac Taylor? Was Green Bay's playoff collapse against Chicago actually a warning sign for a much bigger Packers downfall? JT also makes the case for Dallas as the NFL's most underrated Super Bowl contender and examines whether Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, and an improved Cowboys defense can finally change the postseason narrative. Plus, why the Falcons remain stuck in quarterback no man's land with Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa, and whether Matt Ryan's front office will eventually have to find Atlanta's true long-term answer. All that plus NFL playoff angles, coaching pressure, roster-building debates, quarterback questions, and Super Bowl contenders entering the 2026 NFL season.

In 1873, Ohio senator John Sherman quietly helped pass a law that stopped Americans from turning silver into official US money. The consequences were huge: years of economic pain and political turmoil that earned it the nickname “the Crime of 1873”. Pulitzer Prize-winning author Liaquat Ahamed explains how the event squeezed American farmers and fuelled the Free Silver movement, led by the populist firebrand William Jennings Bryan. Brandon Quittem walked through an essay he has never published, and Brady said so up front. The idea: Bitcoin resembles the Apache, who held off three empires for centuries because there was no leader to remove. He opened with the disclaimer, and it matters: "analogy, analogy, analogy. It's not one to one. These are just frameworks." ⭐ The mechanism he laid out: a centralized organization has a choke point, so Cortés could take an empire by capturing one man. The Apache had no such point, so killing a leader just produced two bands instead of one. ⭐⭐ What finally worked was a gift, not a fight. The US gave Apache leaders 100 head of cattle. A people who had never stored wealth formed a council to divide it, and the wealth eroded them from inside. His one-line version of the lesson: "you cannot fight decentralized organizations face-on. You have to subvert them from the inside, through values, through corruption, or by applying leverage on leaders." ⭐ He called it the golden cow, and named the Bitcoin version carefully: early holders get wealthy, stop fighting, and the supply drifts into a few custodial products. Then he hedged: he is not claiming we are there. Brady asked whether the cattle were a knowing move by the US government or an accident that happened to work. Brandon treated it as an open historical question rather than asserting intent. Brady's larger question ran under the whole hour: does culture even matter to Bitcoin? Brandon traced the waves, cypherpunks first, then libertarians and sound-money people, then the writers, and argued each cohort changed what the network was defended for. A listener's take on custody was the practical takeaway: custodians have gotten much better, and the thing to protect is not a purity test but the standing ability to exit to self-custody quickly if you ever need to. ⭐⭐ Then the fungi, and the origin story, told here for the first time. He wrote part one of the mycelium essay in one night after a meetup. Dan Held edited it and gave him confidence to publish in 2018. He was gun-shy because the genre didn't exist yet: "in 2018 there wasn't a lot of esoteric Bitcoin-is-a-living-organism talk." Held's own four-part series had compared Bitcoin to a tree and Satoshi to a gardener. ⭐ The biology, in his words: mycelium is the organism and the mushroom is just the reproductive organ. The network has no brain, runs underground or inside trees, and moves information in both directions across long distances and across species. Brady brought the pop-culture version: Star Trek Discovery built a spore drive on an intergalactic mycelial network, with an astromycologist character named Lieutenant Paul Stamets after the real mycologist Brandon cites. Brandon on why fungal medicine works on humans: the biology is close enough that a molecule a fungus builds to fight bacteria often works in us. His estimate is that over half of modern pharmacology is fungal or fungi-derived. The detail that got the room: Ötzi the Iceman, the frozen body found in the Italian Alps with an arrow in his back, was carrying several kinds of mushrooms when he died. His stated principle for the whole project: a "polymathic responsibility" to combine what you know from elsewhere to explain a genuinely new thing. Tomorrow: Bob Burnett, newly promoted to chairman of Ocean Mining, on what comes next for the pool.

Few voices are as instantly recognisable as Colin Blunstone's. As the lead singer of The Zombies, he helped define the sound of the British Invasion with timeless classics including She's Not There, Tell Her No, Time of the Season and the landmark album Odessey and Oracle. More than six decades later, Colin continues to tour the world, record new music and perform with the same unmistakable voice that first captivated audiences in the 1960s.In this episode of A Breath of Fresh Air, Colin shares the extraordinary story behind one of rock's most influential bands. He explains how The Zombies came together through little more than chance, why Rod Argent almost remained the band's lead singer, and how She's Not There became a worldwide hit despite a chaotic recording session. Colin reflects on the realities of life during the British Invasion, revealing why hit records didn't necessarily mean financial success and how the original band ultimately dissolved while still enjoying international acclaim. The conversation also explores Colin's remarkable solo career, including his brief period recording as Neil MacArthur, the success of Say You Don't Mind, his years with Elton John's Rocket Records, working alongside Alan Parsons and Dave Stewart, and the unexpected legal battle that temporarily stalled his career. Colin opens up about returning to live performance after more than twenty years away, the reunion with Rod Argent that led to the rebirth of The Zombies, and the band's emotional induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.Along the way, Colin discusses maintaining his voice into his eighties, the discipline required to continue performing at the highest level, overcoming self-doubt despite decades of success, and why he still believes nobody in the music industry truly knows what tomorrow will bring. If you love classic rock, the British Invasion, timeless songwriting and honest conversations with legendary artists, this episode offers a rare opportunity to hear the remarkable story behind one of music's most distinctive voices. And ... if you're in any of these cities make sure you go see The Zombies live!Sep 2 Somerville TheatreSomerville (Boston), MA The Fixx, Colin Blunstone, and Peter AsherSep 4 Count Basie Center for the ArtsRed Bank, NJSep 5The ParamountHuntington (Long Island), NYSep 6 United TheatreWesterly, RISep 8 Tupelo Music Hall Derry, NHTSep 10 Adler Hall New York Society for Ethical Culture New YorkSep 11 Keswick Theatre Glenside (Philadelphia), PASep 12 Warner TheatreWashington, DCSep 13 he Kent StageKent, OHSep 15 Uptown TheaterMinneapolis, MNSep 17 Genesee Theatre Waukegan (Chicago), ILSep 18 The Ludlow GarageCincinnati, OHSep 19 Barrymore Theatre Madison, WISep 21 DeVos Performance HallGrand Rapids, MISep 23 Brown County Music Center NashvilleSep 26 College Street Music Hall New Haven, CTSep 27 Santander Performing Arts Center Reading, PASep 29 RIT Performing Arts CenterRochester, NYTSep 30 Troy Savings Bank Music HallTroy, NY

Have you ever felt like you were doing everything "right" for your health and still didn't feel like yourself? Hi friend! After six years without hormone replacement therapy, I changed my mind about HRT. I was lifting weights, eating real whole foods and plenty of protein, getting morning sunlight, avoiding sugar and alcohol, spending time in God's Word, and doing the things I preach and teach. But after walking through an incredibly difficult season, my sleep and stress reached a point where I knew I needed to take care of myself differently. My suck-it-up broke. And maybe it needed to. In this personal episode of Living God's Way, I'm sharing why I reconsidered hormones, what I'm learning about menopause and midlife health, and what God is teaching me about the difference between being hard and being truly strong. Because maybe strength isn't proving how much you can handle. Maybe strength is knowing where your strength comes from. In This Episode Why I changed my mind about hormone replacement therapy after six years The comment on my gym selfie that makes me laugh now How a difficult season affected my sleep and changed my perspective Why Gen X women may need to rethink the "suck it up" mentality The difference between worldly strength, self-reliance, and godly strength What I'm learning about estrogen, progesterone, menopause, and HRT Why lifting weights and maintaining muscle matter as we age The importance of protein, whole foods, sleep, and caring for your body Why asking for help and advocating for your health are not signs of weakness What God is teaching me about depending on Him when I don't feel strong Important: I'm sharing my personal experience, not giving medical advice. Hormone therapy has benefits and risks that vary by individual. Please talk with a qualified healthcare professional about your symptoms, health history, and whether HRT or other treatment options may be appropriate for you. And stay tuned because I'll also be talking with Dr. Tabatha Barber about menopause and hormones so we can go deeper into the medical side of this conversation. Matthew 11:28 NKJV "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." 2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Making good money and still feeling broke isn't a math problem — it's a signal that your money has drifted out of line with your values. Most people who feel financially anxious on a solid income assume the fix is earning more. It almost never is. This episode unpacks why the feeling of scarcity survives every raise, and how to find where it's actually coming from — so you can stop white-knuckling the one strategy that was never going to work. What you'll discover: The difference between "actual broke" (the math genuinely doesn't work) and "felt broke" (the numbers are fine but the anxiety won't leave) — and why you can't out-earn the second one Why the raise feels huge for two weeks and ordinary by next quarter: hedonic adaptation and the goalpost drawn in disappearing ink Money scripts — the beliefs about money you absorbed in childhood and never signed off on — and why "money vigilance" makes you great with money and anxious about it at the same time What the 2023 Kahneman–Killingsworth study actually found about income and happiness (it's not the "$75k plateau" headline) The three-layer check for locating where your "broke" feeling really lives: the math, the script, the values A two-week practice that maps your money to your values without a single budgeting app Q: Why do I still feel broke when I make good money? A: Because financial security past a certain point is a feeling, not a number — and that feeling is usually driven by a goalpost that moves every time you hit it, money beliefs you inherited early, or spending that's out of line with what you actually value. More income rarely touches any of those three. Q: Does earning more money reduce financial anxiety? A: Up to the point where real strain is eased, yes. Beyond that, more income is a surprisingly weak lever on how secure your life feels. If a bigger number were going to fix the feeling, it usually would have by now. Q: What is a money script? A: A money script is a mostly unconscious belief about money you picked up as a child by watching the adults around you. Psychologist Brad Klontz identified four; two — money worship and money vigilance — most often explain feeling broke on a good income. This episode is part of the optYOUmize Money & Financial Wellbeing series — exploring money as a tool for freedom, not a scoreboard for your worth. The Door Bumper Clear crew is back to break down a wild weekend of NASCAR racing, from Ryan Preece punching his ticket to The Chase to the chaos that unfolded at the end of the race. Freddie, Tommy and Eric are joined by Regan Smith to dive into the latest superspeedway package and debate whether NASCAR needs shorter, more frequent stages to keep drivers from riding around saving fuel. The crew also breaks down why the first stage looked so much like old-school Daytona, what NASCAR can do to make the racing even better, and why the sport may be closer than ever to getting superspeedway racing right. The guys also celebrate Ryan Preece's incredible playoff-clinching win and discuss just how much the victory means after the sacrifices he made to keep his racing career alive. Plus, they debate the biggest surprises of the playoff cut line, including Brad Keselowski and Ross Chastain, and celebrate Ryan Sieg finally getting his first NOAP Series win after 424 starts. Then there's the chaos: the final-lap wreck, Denny Hamlin's malfunctioning in-car camera, NASCAR leaving the race green through a major wreck, and whether drivers should really be expected to go wide open through incidents in the pack. And, of course, the guys have plenty to say about the announcement of Days of Thunder 2, Cole Pearn's hilarious reaction to the news, and the future of the Truck Series. Want more DBC? We played the Modern Warfare 4 beta this weekend — including Warzone and the new Zodiac Resurgence map — and it took about fifteen minutes to know it was over. Not "this year is mid" over. Over over. This is the episode where a podcast that ran on Call of Duty for 600+ episodes says out loud that it's done. Raz makes the case that nothing else in an FPS matters if you can't see or hear the enemy, and everything else — weapon levels, perks, pipe climbing, the spawns everyone's arguing about on X — is fixing a leaky bathtub while the house burns down. Jake breaks down why CoD only takes from him now, why the lobbies are nothing but sweat, and the exact point where min-maxing your controller, your router and your ZIP code stopped being worth it. Also in this one: the Zodiac verdict (better than Area 99, roughly Haven's Hollow), the weekend 2 nerf pass, the 60% negative Steam reviews, why Warzone was in the beta at all, and a DMZ 2 prediction we're standing behind. Then a palate cleanser — Star Wars Zero Company, permadeath, and a first playthrough Raz completely ruined — plus a brutal Tarkov week, the Tarkov roadmap, GTA 6's Netflix look, and WARDOGS. Jake wanted it to be good. Raz stopped wanting that years ago. The calendar says fall. The fish may disagree. This week on Jigs & Bigs, Bobby digs into the fall transition and why anglers get into trouble when they start fishing the date instead of the conditions in front of them.On Just the Tip, we break down how to recognize the real signs of a seasonal shift — water temperature trends, forage movement, vegetation changes, bird activity, fish location and more — and why one clue by itself doesn't mean much. One fish is just a fish. Two is the beginning of a pattern. Then on Broke on the Boat, we talk about the fall tackle trap: why changing conditions don't automatically mean you need a whole new pile of gear, and how to make smarter adjustments before reaching for the credit card.Plus: fishing recaps, Livewell input from the Jigheads, some absolutely ridiculous stories, and the usual Jigs & Bigs chaos. The big takeaway this week:The calendar tells you what season it is. The water tells you how to fish it.Fish the clues. In this 1935 20th Century-Fox Studios Year by Year episode, Friend of the Pod William Wyler, in his only appearance at Fox during the studio era, hits it out of the park again with The Gay Deception. This is one of two comedy masterpieces by Wyler in 1935, both woefully neglected, although this one foreshadows his one well-known comedy, Roman Holiday, in certain of its plot elements. But it's recognizably a 1930s screwball comedy, albeit with Francis Lederer as the madcap heiress (or prince) driving Frances Dee screwy. And we also watched The Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo (directed by Stephen Roberts), which is a very good use of Ronald Colman and also features Joan Bennett, which is no cause to complain. Finally, in our So This Is a Sentence? segment, Andrew Sarris enlightens us about lechery, longing, sophistication, sexual humour, and malice in the movies of Lowell Sherman. Day 21. The last day of evidence in Commonwealth v. Lindsay Clancy.Judge William Sullivan opened with a line from Henry V. Four hours later, defense attorney Kevin Reddington was reading the prosecution's own opening statement out loud to the prosecution's own final witness and asking him if he agreed with it. What happens when a professional athlete's career ends and then the income ends too? Dan Brisse saw his childhood heroes lose everything and used that as a warning to build a completely different financial future. He spent nearly 15 years as a professional snowboarder watching fellow athletes lose their homes, cars, and financial stability after their careers ended. That forced him to think differently about money. Instead of waiting until retirement, Dan learned how to turn the income he earned as an athlete into assets that could generate cash flow and give him greater control over his future. In this episode, Dan joins Russ and Joey to share how he went from buying his first rental properties to building Granite Towers Equity Group and investing in larger multifamily properties. He explains why he uses a clear investment “buy box” rather than chasing every deal that looks attractive.Top three things you will learn: -Why athletes need a financial plan beyond their athletic career-How to evaluate a real estate deal before investing-Why investment losses can become valuable lessonsAbout Our Guest:Dan Brisse is the co-founder & Managing Partner at Granite Towers Equity Group and oversees operations, acquisitions, investor relations, and asset management. As a professional snowboarder for over 13 years, Dan took home multiple X Games gold medals and was known as one of the top urban snowboarders in the world.
