Join us for conversations each week where we seek answers to the most difficult questions we find in The Bible, about God, and about the world.
How do you 'notice' God? How do you hear God? Join us as we continue to talk about the book of Hosea, and how it fits into the larger story of the gospel! In this episode we summarize how God works, both through his justice and his love!
Is God a God of rules or a God of community? And how does that work with obedience and trust?
What kind of God is God? Join us as we begin a three week conversation about the book of Hosea and it's relevance to us today. As we look into the personality and emotion(s) of God, we consider that relationships are not defined by success but rather brokenness.
In this episode we feast on several theological topics including Biblical interpretation, communion, synergism & monergism!
As we continue the conversation about Ephesians, we begin talking about God's Word! Is it a book or the voice of a person or something else? Join us as we start to intro a conversation about Biblical Theology.
In this second episode, we would like to do something a little different: give you an excerpt from Pastor Mark's sermon! Whether you attend Praise & Worship Church, live in Branson, or have just found us online⦠we really felt that this was some foundational stuff that will lead our conversations for the next several weeks.
When studying Predestination, there is often an uneasy feeling that creeps in. This is because it reminds us of how we are NOT in control of our lives, while often functioning and even believing that we are. But the promise of Ephesians is that God's plans are all set up IN AGAPE (undeserved loving-kindness!) He's not a puppet-master seeking to play games, but rather, He seeks the salvation of all people! God elects, sending Jesus to die for all, but inexplicably, some reject His free gift of grace! Read Genesis 1:26-28, Acts 17:24-27, Romans 3:21-26, Romans 9:15-18 AND 11:30-32. See also Isaiah 55:6-11, Ezekiel 33:11, Romans 5:8-10, 1 Timothy 2:4 1 John 1:5, and 2 Peter 3:9.
