Hello lovely listeners, it’s Liza flying solo today. This is our season two wrap-up and I wanted to let you know how incredibly grateful Dani and I are for your continued support over the last few months. Last September, when we decided to start recording these episodes, we never would’ve imagined the amazing opportunities that would present themselves through this endeavor. It’s been truly amazing getting to sit down with these incredible women to hear their stories, their struggles and victories, and get to share this all with such a fantastic community. We’ve decided to make this season shorter than our first for a few reasons. One, our personal businesses and commitments have increased for the next couple of months and we want to make sure that we’re giving our best effort to those. And two, we want to make sure we’re giving the podcast the attention it deserves, so we thought it best have a shorter, more curated season. You also might have noticed, we’ve also been experimenting with mixing up episode formats and including more content on social media, and we’re hoping to spend the next few months really solidifying those so we can launch season three with some awesome content and interviews for you. So, while Dani and I are spending the next few months getting our shit together, you’re welcome to join the Facebook group, and continue chatting with us there, and we look forward to seeing you for season three. In today’s episode we sat down to chat with Maggie Giele, a digital strategist who works with creative entrepreneurs to really wrangle all of their ideas into a strategy that moves their business forward. Maggie is not someone who considers herself to be a creative, but the work she does with her clients can be out-of-the-box and unique enough, that we call her creative. Not to mention the positioning for her own brand is not something you come across everyday! Maggie had a lot of great insight into focusing your creativity into actual goals and money for your business, and we really think you’ll find this episode interesting if you’re struggling to decide which direction to move your business in.
In today’s episode, we’re chatting about our personal struggles with finding inspiration and fueling our creativity as creative entrepreneurs. Whether you’re struggling to stay inspired for your own projects, or you’re looking for new ways to be inspired for client work, we share our process on getting inspired. Be sure to join the Facebook group if you haven’t already and let us know what your process for nurturing your creativity is.
In today’s episode, we’re chatting with Lauren Frontiera of the Grit and Glitter Podcast, all about her creative process behind starting a podcast, finding inspiration for and planning episodes, and the struggles she faces consuming on social media and how they influence her in both good and bad ways. This episode is for anyone who has ever felt like they’re not creative enough or that they’re doing what everybody else is doing.
In today’s episode, we’re wrapping up our theme of community, by spilling our hearts on building the Do It Scared community. There’s a lot we’re struggling with, and we just want to be honest about what we’re trying to do with the podcast, and how we need your help to make that happen. - The inevitable crickets that happen when you first begin - Not taking the crickets personally - Asking for help to get your community started - The importance of posting consistently - Scheduling and batch processing - The authenticity dilemma of scheduling - Boundaries - Make content that serves your community - Instagram stories
