This week, we took Jayme on multiple hikes and got to see all of his/our health care providers! We use providers that are on the naturopathic side of the medical world and are pretty connected to us even beyond our needs for healthcare so this isn't too odd for us. We are so excited to be taking our little boy out to restaurants, on day trip adventures, and wherever else life takes us! Hope you enjoy hearing this week's update.

Thanks for tuning into this episode about our birthing experience! We had our baby at a birth center in Washington State. It was an unmedicated birth with minimal interventions. Labor was approximately 36 hours with 1 hour of pushing. After this experience, we feel a birthing center was the perfect option for us. It provided a safe, comfortable environment to work through labor and delivery. They had all the items stocked and prepared to make sure we had a safe birthing experience. Our midwife was highly attentive, sensitive to our and our baby's needs, and worked hard to make sure delivery went as smoothly as possible. We also are very happy with our choice to have a doula on our birth team as well. We found our doula through an online service during the first trimester and conducted an interview before hire. She was vital in helping Chelsea progress in early labor and allowed her to always have someone with her when Chris had another responsibility to manage.
In this episode, we talk about being pregnant during the CV-19 pandemic, and also what initial post-birth infant treatments we are choosing for our baby.
