If you go into this film expecting IT-syle clown horror, you might end up a bit disappointed...and confused...and speechless. In today's Film Rating Review, I discuss the cheese factor of Killer Klowns from Outer Space! and awaken my childhood memories of the klowns and the many things I heard about this movie before watching it...
mother! certainly did surprise me, but not in a good way. Check out this episode for my discussion of mother! and let me know what YOU think! I was personally disappointed to discover that what had been marketed as a horror thriller was not that. At all. In any way. The cheese factor on this one will be just great! JLaw's blank-faced expression wasn't the only think lacking in this mess.....
Watching the 2017 remake of IT put me in the nostalgic mood to watch the 1990 made-for-tv version of IT. Check out this Film Rating Review 1990 IT podcast to hear my thoughts on how IT holds up, which IT is superior, which Pennywise is more terrifying, and the cheese factor of IT 1990.....
It's here....No, I mean IT is here! In this terrifyingly awesome Film Rating Review episode, I review Annabelle: Creation! I discuss the horrible decisions that the characters in the movie make....for some reason, my horror movie viewing traditions and preferences and, of course, the cheese factor! Join me for this doll-filled nightmare...if you dare. But seriously, it's fine. It's about a doll. A doll.
In today's episode of Film Rating Review, I discuss Valarian and a City of a Thousand Planets, a movie that has about a thousand mixed reviews out there. I also discuss The Fifth Element because...well, can you discuss anything meaningful without mentioning The Fifth Element...?
I've seen a lot of unentertaining movies in my life, but this is the first time I wasn't able to stick with a film until the end....The Emoji Movie. It happened. It was horrible. I hope my review is more fun to listen to than the movie was to watch!
I definitely didn't get sick of watching....The Big Sick! Ok, that was a terrible goof, but the truth is that this movie was absolutely awesome! Kumail Nanjiani made me laugh, not cry of course *coughs*, and created a wonderful journey into a relationship that faced the obstacles of having strong, unyielding family opinions and traditions, lots of time in a hospital eating hospital food, and having to attempt stand-up comedy when you're just having a rough day. If you haven't seen it, YOU NEED TO SEE IT ASAP. If you have, check out this Film Rating Review on The Big Sick!
In today's episode, I talk about a film that sparked controversy and debate regarding feminism, the portrayal of women in movies, and gave little girls everywhere a hero to look up to...a hero that wears very little armor and brings swords and a lasso to gun fights. That's right! We're talking about Wonder Woman!
