Arguably the biggest digital distraction is email and the problem has got worse for many of us over the years. Our reliance on email is quite problematic.
In this very short series of podcasts I’m going to hopefully give you a few tips on how to deal with that modern day problem of digital distraction and help you write a bit more. In the academic world it is very easy to get distracted by a multitude of things. From your mobile phone to interruptions by other people, whilst social media and email create a constant stream of content that can take you away from your work. These are all part of a modern academic environment but when you really need to write that paper, prepare those slides or finish that thesis chapter they can become problematic. Over the course of the next few very short podcasts I’ll give you a few ideas, tools and techniques to cut out the noise and distraction.I will also and help you focus on getting stuff done with a few useful tips to help you write more productively.
