Hello and welcome to Move Forth With Grace! The podcast where we will read the Bible in a year. I believe that God has placed this on my heart and I am so excited to see where this takes us this year. I have prayed for Him to show me how I can be of service to Him alone and I believe that this is one of the ways. I want to first of all say that I am not an expert in Theology or Church History and I never will claim to be. I am a 44 year old woman who has been reborn and want to be of service to Him in gratitude for calling me back home. The version of the Bible that I will be reading from is The Founder's Bible and it is a New American Standard Version and includes historical documents from our founding fathers and how they were inspired by the word of God when they were forming our country. You can find your copy here if you would like:www.foundersbible.orgI will be using the Five Day Bible Reading Plan:www.fivedaybiblereading.comToday's episode is brought to you by Never Bands. Will hands the hosting duties to long-time friend Patrick McAvoy, the admissions director at New Visions in Wisconsin. Patrick interviews Will about his recent decision to step away from wilderness therapy and his thoughts on the field. Will shares a history of Summit Achievement, how the program evolved over the years, why Summit does not take young people by transport, and other unique aspects of the program. Will reveals why he is stepping away after 26 years as a co-owner and employee of Summit Achievement and what he is doing at his new behavioral healthcare consulting practice, WMAI.org. Will also addresses some of the controversies in the wilderness field, how the death the tragic death of a Summit co-founder in 2015 changed him, and what he sees as the future of wilderness therapy. We thank the underwriters of Season 14, Brightstone Transitions, Point School, and Wisdom Ranch. Season 14 focuses on young adult programs and young adults sharing their stories, as well as this special episode.

How's that “to-do” list looking? What if I were to tell you the single biggest change you could make to the list in terms of your future success would be to subtract? That's right – while our minds naturally think adding a new exercise or routine is the solution, one of the best ways to make things better actually comes down to one word: subtract.Welcome to the Health, Wellness & Performance Catalyst. Today's guest is Dr. Leidy Klotz, who studies the science of design, and the way in which our own daily choices can be positively impacted – NOT by adding something new - but instead through the use of subtraction. His research has appeared in both Nature and Science and his debut popular science book, Subtract, is among the most influential published in 2021. He is a frequent guest on programs including Hidden Brain, Freakonomics, and NPR. You've likely seen his articles in the Washington Post, Fast Company, Harvard Business Review, Scientific American and elsewhere. For more information about Dr. Leidy Klotz, access his website here: https://www.leidyklotz.com/ or his book can be found here. For more information about the Catalyst Community, earning your NBHWC-approved health & wellness coach certification, the annual Rocky Mountain Coaching Retreat & Symposium and much more, please see https://www.catalystcoachinginstitute.com/ or reach out to us Results@CatalystCoachingInstitute.comLooking for weekly tips, tricks and turbo boosts to enhance your life? We're digging into why eating liver can help when you are TTC. I remember my mom frying up liver on the stove when I was a kid (she would now cringe at this because she's been a vegan for 35 years!). The smell made me gag, and I would run and hide in the other room so I didn't have to eat it. I recently tried it again, sautéed with onions and spices. I ate the liver by itself – nope still hate it! But then we made liver pate. Definitely tasted better, but still an acquired taste. Organ meats and liver in particular, are making a comeback. Liver is among the most nourishing foods on the planet, especially if it's sourced from a grass-fed, well-treated animal. How do we know if consuming liver is right for us as we prepare for pregnancy? And what can we do if we hate the taste? Today I'm excited to welcome Nora DeBora to the podcast. Nora is a Preconception Health Coach, Holistic Nutritionist and Fertility Awareness Practitioner. In this episode, you'll learn: 1) What we need to know about liver when we are TTC 2) But isn't the liver toxic? That's where all the toxins go. How do we know if organ meat is right for us? 3) What type of liver to consume 4) If you hate the taste of liver, check out our go-to supplement here --- RESOURCES: Fab Fertile Method https://www.fabfertile.com/what-we-do/ I'm excited to introduce you to the Inito fertility monitor, an easy, at-home fertility tracker that gives accurate results while cutting down on your time and expenses. Self discipline is the only way to form new habits and achieve new goals. Keeping your word with yourself is the first step towards being able to keep your word with others. Many times we can get swept away by the daily struggle and days, weeks, months can go by in between steps towards progress. Meditation can help form new patterns of behavior, to break free of unproductive thoughts and habits. One breath at a time.

This week in fatphobia we're talking about an article from the New York Post titled Bye Bye Booty: Heroin chic is back. It's bad enough for a fashion trend to be named after a drug, but to boil bodies down to trends as though we should be treating our bodies as accessories is just.. Hey friend! Happy Monday. This week we are talking all about how to balance exercise and healthy eating as a busy mom. This comes up for all of the women I work with. They are busy running their households, their businesses, or their kids around, and often, feel like they have little or no time left to take care of themselves. They've tried 'just getting up earlier' only to find their kids also get up with them..(I've been there) A lot of the time they just end up feeling more frustrated and annoyed. And still not exercising or making healthier choices around food. It's time we ditch the idea we have to make all of the changes at once. That you have to do it all perfectly, and that you need your day to go according to your plan in order for you to be successful in this area of your life. You'll be the most successful at this when you:- drop perfectionism and all or nothing thinking-do what you can do each day-stop putting pressure on yourself to make all the changes all at once-and, you focus on making small changes, consistently. Share this episode with another busy mama who needs to hear this! And, if you're ready to take what you're learning here on the podcast and apply it deeper to your own life and goals, message me on IG or FB or email email@example.com to learn more about my non diet approach to help you create food freedom and feel more confident in your body + your life.

Part 2 of reasons why you find yourself eating past fullness and not sure why... Eating past fullness from time to time is normal. I do it too! It can happen for a lot of reasons that aren't too worrisome. You're distracted, things didn't go as planned, you go out to eat, etc. But I can't tell you how many times women come to me saying they can't even get themselves to eat more than 1300, 1400, 1500 calories… yet they are also saying that their clothes dont fit and they want to slim down and lean out. Now if you are consistently eating past fullness, the reason you keep overeating is NOT your lack of willpower, your cravings, or just who you are as a person… In my experience coaching close to 1000 women, I've found that consistently eating past fullness typically boils down to 8 things. In Part 2 of this 2 part series, we will cover the second 4 reasons why you're probably eating past fullness and what you can do to overcome them! “I would encourage people to think about how we think about risk in our daily lives. We have more risk when we cross the street or drive a car than we do with the COVID vaccine.” Dr. Urvashi Bhatnagar is a healthcare executive whose career spans clinical care, research, and advocacy. She's also the co-author of the new book “The Sustainability Scorecard: How To Implement And Profit From Unexpected Solutions.” Dr. Urvashi focuses on bringing new and innovative solutions to market that advance access to care, clinical outcomes and affect total cost of care. With a Yale MBA and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Boston University, Dr. Urvashi is a Certified Clinical Instructor for DPT students and has served as faculty during the American Congress of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2021, and has served as an invited speaker at the United Nations in 2020. And since much to the dismay of our parents, we are still NOT doctors, and much to the dismay of...everyone, we are still in a global pandemic, the US Department of Health & Human Services asked us enroll a healthcare professional — about the importance of getting your latest COVID vaccine as we go into the holiday season. They're here just in time to make those family gatherings safer and extra special. SO While we definitely had a good chat with Dr. URVASHI about COVID prevention and how it relates to her work and experience every day, we also get to go beyond her day job, for a bit to talk talk about her work in practical, scalable solutions to impact climate change - and what it means for chocolate and gardening - for the uncle and auntie in each of us.. We all put up with environments, behaviors, and relationships that drain our energy and take up space in our lives. What's an area of your life that you're simply tolerating right now? An easy way to take stock of where you're settling is to evaluate your living space. Your home is often a metaphor for how you feel inside. Does everything look neat and clean, but the drawers and closets are pure chaos? When there's clutter in your physical space, it often creates confusion and blinders. It's harder to connect with yourself and really listen to that wise inner voice. In this episode, I explore how this toleration practice has supported me in my health and healing journey. I also discuss how doing this work has improved other facets of my life, including my relationships and experience as a mother. My challenge for you this week is to tackle an area of your living space that you're tolerating. Maybe you're like me and have a catch-all drawer, or maybe you have a chair in your room that's become a second wardrobe. Whatever it is, chip away at it until it fills you with peace and joy when you see it. Listen in to hear more about my favorite coaching tool that you can use to close out this year feeling light, inspired, and ready for your next leap. Change can be scary. And sometimes, fears about what transformation might cost us can lead us to sabotage our own success. We may have mixed feelings about leaving certain parts of our selves (or our lives) behind–even if they are things that we don't particularly like. These worries and fears are totally normal. But left unexamined or unchecked, they can keep us stuck. In this episode, we're going to get all of that out in the open, so we can engage with it more intentionally…and more productively.--Learn more and enroll in the next session of the Weighless Program at weighless.life/enroll
Meet my friend Mike Kelly, we meet while taking our Can-Fit-Pro personal training certifications decades ago. Since then Mike went back to school and completed a psychology degree from Queens, then developed a really cool program called "Why I Hate Exercise - The Psychology, Health & Fitness Professionals Need To Know". Think about it........ how much do you really like exercising? Or do you do it because you know you need too?
