Monika Hamori reports the findings from her latest research on the career histories of the CEOs who lead the 500 largest companies in Europe and the 500 largest in the United States. Hamori does away with some of the cliches regarding CEOs on the two continents and shows, amongst other things, whether staying with the same organization throughout one's career or gaining work experience abroad pays off in terms of promotion to the top post.
