Hey y’all! My name is Josiah Pohl, I’m 19, and I’m your typical college student here to talk about my college experiences, life’s discussions, and much more! For two months at a time I will be doing a different series focused on a general topic. The first topic: College 101! Starting around mid Augu…
Welcome back to the podcast! In this episode i explain why I took another hiatus because of things like spring classes and work. I also discuss the first four months of this year, how the pandemic has changed and shifted perspectives, my own perspectives on what's going on currently and what I'm doing as of lately (and people putting gasoline in bags WTH!!). So this makes for a pretty entertaining episode and I hope you all enjoy as I return to the podcast for the first time in a while! *I am back for real this time, no more hiatuses!! I have some exciting plans for new episodes this summer including new guests, series ideas/continuation of current series' such as summer mindfulness and current events, new topics, and maybe even having an official co-host in the near future!* ***I may be changing the uploading schedule, but for now new episodes go up every other Saturday at 1pm local time! I’m back to podcasting again and the world has gone through A LOT since I last talked to you all. Joe Biden is our 46th president, COVID fatigue is very much a real thing In America, and I started my Junior year in the middle of it all... jeez. Would 10/10 not recommend this year to anybody. *warning: I ramble a lot in this episode because this year just sucks and there’s things that have to change in my personal opinion! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Welcome to the next series of my podcast where I, and a series of guests will be sharing ways in which we are finding mindfulness this summer! With a lot of craziness happening across the country and the world with the pandemic and increased racial tensions, sometimes this information overload can be very stress-inducing. So Kayla joins me again as a guest in this episode as we discuss how to ease anxieties by deleting social media, using it to create a positive outlet, and just finding alternatives in order to find mindfulness. More episodes are coming soon. Stay tuned! In the wake of recent protests against police brutality, racism, & oppression in the United States and around the world, I felt it was super important to share how you can get involved and show solidarity for the Black Lives Matter movement and to not stay silent on these social problems. I needed some time to process everything that was going on before I was able to film this episode which explains the brief hiatus. Below are some links where you can find places to donate and sign petitions for Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and others as we show our support together for the Black Lives Matter movement. In next weeks episode, I will begin my next series: Summer Mindfulness, which is a take on ways to find peace through troubling times and my personal experiences with things like exercise, bible reading, and meditation! I hope I can include some special guests in those episodes so we can share our experiences of these things. I AM BACK Y'ALL! The world has changed A LOT since my I recorded my previous series. Welcome to Current Events! In this series I will be taking a look at events and social issues going on in our world, specifically in relation to the COVID-19 Pandemic as it has majorly affected our lives in the past few months. In the first episode of three, I take an outlook about how this global pandemic has changed my life personally and how I was affected as a college student. Anyone who is a college student this semester most 11/10 had to spend the rest of their Spring Semester at home. Graduations, events, everything basically cancelled. 2020 needs to be put in some RICE! Unfortunately, because of social distancing, I could not have a guest with me on this episode so I tend to get off topic here and there. Specifically, I talk about March 2020 when the Miss Rona's tour starting taking off in the U.S. and what I am doing presently to stay positive and connected with my peers. I am thinking about having a special guest for the next episode however because I am seeing most podcasts where they converted the audio from video calls and we're able to socially distance them.
Welcome to the last episode of the College 101 series! My next series will be Fall Favorites & The Holidays.
