This week on Stay True Podcast, Madi sits down with Bible teacher, author, and The Bible Recap host Tara-Leigh Cobble for a conversation that might completely change the way you read Scripture. If you've ever opened the Bible and felt confused, overwhelmed, discouraged, or wondered if you're missing something, this episode is for YOU. Together, they unpack one of the biggest mistakes Christians make when reading the Bible, why so many of us unknowingly read Scripture through the lens of culture instead of God's character, and how seeing the Bible the way it was intended changes everything. They also talk about why reading the entire Bible matters, what happens when verses are taken out of context, and how to move from simply reading God's Word to genuinely knowing and loving Him through it. As always... be sure to stay you and stay true! Topics we dive into: -Are you reading the Bible the way it was meant to be read? -Why do so many Christians struggle to understand Scripture? -Why does reading the entire Bible matter? -What is the Trinity? -What does it actually mean to fall in love with God's Word? WARDOGS ran its first ever gameplay livestream this week and it went about as well as you'd expect from a studio full of guys in their late twenties: the alpha codes were a QR-code disaster, the stream started two hours late, and it ended with a Twitch ban for throwing a sex toy across the room. And yet — the actual gameplay looked incredible. We break down everything we saw: the enormous map, the three-team control zone loop, the destructible environments, the buy menu, and why Bulkhead's 60 FPS performance floor and "gamers first, devs second" attitude has us more hyped for this game than anything else on the calendar. Plus: is a monthly subscription for better servers and anti-cheat a genuinely good idea or the start of a slippery slope? Then it's Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, which just opened its first free crossplay playtest on the new Đắk Tô Airfield map — the performance is fixed, the hit reg is fixed, and the map is a massive upgrade over that awful jungle one. And Battlefield 6 Season 4 finally brought naval warfare, Tsuru Reef, and a Top Gun crossover that people are somehow mad about. We close with what we've actually been playing — Overwatch ranked, Stellaris Nomads, a lot of Tarkov, and one MMO Raz will absolutely keep playing despite telling you not to touch it. Jake's out here getting one-tapped in Tarkov. Raz is defending a game he just called a pile of dog shit. We've sanitized the buying and selling of human beings in the West, and it's time to call it out. You can go online right now, customize a baby's eye color and IQ, rent a woman's womb for nine months, and pay to take home a child. That's not "assisted reproduction." It's the buying and selling of a human life. In this episode, I'm exposing the dark truth behind the multi-billion dollar surrogacy and IVF industries. We're talking about the shocking UN findings on the exploitation of women, the real science of mother-baby bonding, and why an adult's desire to parent will never override a child's right not to be bought and sold. We ban plastic bags to save turtles, but the EPA turns a blind eye to the abortion cartel dumping dead babies and potent hormone disruptors straight into our water supply. Over 60% of all U.S. abortions are now chemical, sending hundreds of thousands of doses of Mifepristone and chemically-tainted remains straight into our water systems every year. The crazy part? The EPA continues to look the other way, relying on a flawed 1996 evaluation that never accounted for today's mail-order abortion regime. It's time for real accountability. Watch as I break down why the EPA must add Mifepristone to its contaminant monitoring list… because what goes down the drain affects us all.

In this episode, John interviews Caroline about her deep obsession with true crime, cult documentaries, and survival stories, rooted in a childhood book about kidnapping and dissociation, her psychology studies, and unsettling experiences growing up in New York City. Caroline explains why cults like FLDS and Scientology fascinate her, shares her top cases (Jaycee Dugard, JonBenét Ramsey, Madeleine McCann, Amy Lynn Bradley), and argues that true crime can build awareness but also cause anxiety and overprotectiveness. They discuss the power of public “armchair detectives,” a real-life missing teen case where social sharing helped save her, and concerns about police error, cover-ups, and wrongful convictions. Caroline then dives into her current fixation—the Idaho Four—questioning details, evidence, and the plea deal while promising to keep investigating. Eighteen-year-old Nolan Wells went to a boat party on Horn Island, Mississippi, over the Fourth of July. He was the only one of the group who did not return. He was the only Black member of the group. His body was found by a park ranger two days later.During the first autopsy, the state retained his throat. The trachea, hyoid bone, and laryngeal cartilage were all kept. Nineteen days later, the state has released nothing about what they found in those structures. The family's independent pathologist said that kind of retention is standard when there is concern about compression. The family's independent autopsy returned undetermined as both cause and manner of death. The pathologist said he could not rule out non-accidental factors. Seven questions from that examination remain unanswered. The official state autopsy is still pending. The DA has referred the death investigation to a grand jury. That body has subpoena power the sheriff does not. It can compel sworn testimony under penalty of perjury. The friends who were on the island have been telling their version publicly. Whether those versions survive an oath is the question this investigation is now designed to answer.Whether the public statements made by the people who were there hold up under sworn testimony is a question the grand jury is designed to answer. And the phones belonging to Nolan and every friend in that group will produce a digital trail of every message, every search, every deletion, and every gap. Digital forensics does not rely on anyone's recollection.Retired FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer examines the throat retention, the grand jury path, what the phone data will reveal, and how long investigations like this take before producing answers.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? The defense had its say this week as opening statements continued in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial. Clancy, 34, of Duxbury, Massachusetts, is accused of strangling her three children — 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 7-month-old Callan — with exercise resistance bands inside the family's Summer Street home on January 24, 2023. She faces three counts of murder and three counts of strangulation, and has pleaded not guilty. Attorney Kevin Reddington is arguing an insanity defense, centered on claims of severe postpartum psychosis and psychiatric overmedication.Reddington's opening leaned hard into character and context: a good nurse, a great mother, a woman who recognized something was wrong and reached out for help with her postpartum struggles before the tragedy happened. That's a very different story than "premeditated," and it's the one the defense needs jurors to hold onto through weeks of clinical and forensic testimony. The gap between those two narratives — deliberate killer versus desperate, undertreated patient — is what this entire trial is actually about. After the killings, Clancy allegedly attempted to take her own life by jumping from a second-story window, an act that left her paralyzed from the waist down. Her husband, Patrick Clancy, was out of the home running errands when it happened and has since relocated to Manhattan, where he's spoken publicly about her mental health. The trial, presided over by Judge William F. Sullivan, is expected to stretch across several weeks.LinksJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? The Lindsay Clancy murder trial officially got underway this week with opening statements in Plymouth Superior Court. Her defense, led by attorney Kevin Reddington, rests on an insanity claim: that Clancy was in the grip of severe postpartum psychosis and psychiatric overmedication when the killings happened.Prosecutors weren't interested in letting that framing sit unchallenged. Assistant District Attorney Shanan Buckingham opened by telling jurors this was a premeditated act, not the product of a psychotic break — setting up the central question the entire trial will hinge on. Every witness, every piece of evidence going forward gets filtered through that split: did Clancy's mind fail her, or did she make a choice. Buckingham's opening didn't waste time easing into it.After the killings, Clancy allegedly attempted to take her own life by jumping from a second-story window, an act that left her paralyzed from the waist down. Her husband, Patrick Clancy, was out of the home running errands when it happened and has since relocated to Manhattan, where he's spoken publicly about her mental health struggles. Lindsay Clancy's murder trial in Plymouth Superior Court comes down to a question the law may not be equipped to answer: can eighteen jurors unanimously agree on what was happening inside one woman's mind on a single night in January 2023?The prosecution and the defense are not arguing about what she did. ADA Jennifer Sprague alleges Lindsay mapped her husband's errand route, created a window of time, and strangled Cora, Dawson, and Callan with exercise bands. Defense attorney Kevin Reddington does not dispute the deaths. He's arguing Lindsay was in the grip of postpartum psychosis and couldn't understand what she was doing. Her medical history includes an ER visit, a McLean Hospital admission, reported command hallucinations, and a rotating cocktail of psychiatric medications her own providers couldn't stabilize.Patrick Clancy — the father who lost all three children — is on both the prosecution and defense witness lists. He has publicly forgiven Lindsay and filed his own lawsuit against her doctors.Tony breaks down the prosecution's premeditation case, the defense's insanity argument, the Massachusetts burden-of-proof standard that surprises most people, and why this trial was heading for a hung jury before a single opening statement was delivered.END LINKSJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? On the same day in July, three FBI sources gave the public three irreconcilable answers about the ransom notes in the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping. Reuters was told every note is fake. The Phoenix field office indicated that some may be legitimate. TMZ's sources said the original two are more credible than not. That is three positions from inside one agency about the most consequential evidence in an active kidnapping investigation that has produced zero arrests in nearly six months.Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her Tucson home in January. A masked figure was captured on her Ring camera. Former FBI agent Steve Moore publicly declared the case is cold, telling Brian Entin that fresh investigators will eventually cycle in because the current team has gone as far as it can with its approach. The cons have made it worse. Derrick Callella pleaded guilty to posing as a kidnapper and reaching out directly to the family with fake ransom messages. Someone else sent TMZ twelve emails demanding Bitcoin. The investigation has had to devote significant resources just to separating real evidence from manufactured noise. The enhanced photo of the masked figure captured on Nancy's porch camera has never been released to the public. Nancy's face is on the billboards. The suspect's is not. These are choices, and no one has explained the reasoning behind them.If the FBI has results from those five months of genetic genealogy testing, the public has not been told. If they do not have results after five months on a DNA sample in a kidnapping case, the investigation is producing questions faster than it is producing answers.Retired FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer has publicly challenged investigators on ten specific points, including the unreleased porch image and the question of whether the Bureau already knows who porch guy is. DNA recovered from Nancy's home went to a genetic genealogy lab in February. Lindsay Clancy's husband, Patrick, testified today in her murder trial — the case out of Duxbury, Massachusetts where prosecutors allege she strangled her three children, 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 7-month-old Callan, with exercise resistance bands inside the family's Summer Street home on January 24, 2023. Clancy faces three counts of murder and three counts of strangulation. She has pleaded not guilty, and her defense — led by Kevin Reddington — is built on an insanity claim: severe postpartum psychosis, they say, made worse by psychiatric overmedication.Patrick's testimony centered on the timeline of prescriptions Lindsay was put on in the weeks before the killings, and how often the plan changed. Several medications, he said, were reportedly taken only a few times before being dropped or swapped for something else — a revolving door of adjustments that, allegedly, never had time to actually work. He also spoke to the family's efforts to get her additional intervention, testimony the defense will likely lean on hard when it argues she wasn't in a position to understand what she was doing.Prosecutors, for their part, are expected to argue she did understand, medication chaos or not. After the killings, Clancy allegedly attempted suicide by jumping from a second-story window and is now paralyzed from the waist down. Patrick was running errands when it happened and has since relocated to Manhattan, where he's spoken publicly about his wife's mental health. The trial continues in Plymouth Superior Court and is expected to run several weeks.LinksJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Lindsay Clancy spent her career as a labor and delivery nurse helping mothers through the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Prosecutors say that same job is proof she knew exactly how to work the people who were supposed to save her. She's charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Cora, five, Dawson, three, and eight-month-old Callan, at their Duxbury, Massachusetts home on January 24, 2023. She's pleading not guilty by reason of insanity. Roughly three months before the killings, prosecutors say she typed something about her older children into her phone, a note a prosecutor later read aloud in court. The Commonwealth's case leans on the mundane: a text at 4:53 saying she didn't feel like cooking, a takeout order at 5:10, her husband out the door at 5:15 for dinner and a pharmacy run, back a little after six. Prosecutors say she measured that window using the exact clinical composure her job trained into her. The defense says she'd been begging that same medical system for help for weeks and was handed prescriptions instead. She's permanently paralyzed after going out a second-story window the night her children died. If convicted of first-degree murder, Massachusetts law gives the judge no discretion: mandatory life without parole. If she's found not criminally responsible, she's committed to a locked state psychiatric hospital instead, not set free. She's already been in state custody since 2023. Jury selection began July 20 in Plymouth Superior Court. The job that once meant she saved lives is now the state's argument for why she took some. If you look for the beauty in the world, you will see it in everything. The light, the sounds, the smells, the feelings. If you look for the horrors, you'll see it in everything, too. Focus on the light so you can create and become more of it. Study what you avoid. What makes you scared to act. Defensiveness is often protecting you from something you are afraid to face, but if you face it, you may realize your guard being up against it was the biggest hurdle. Leverage your effort into longterm upkeep of all the goodness in your life. Small repeated actions are what add up to create your life, so don't let it pass you by waiting for it to arrive. It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the most responsive to change. - Charles Darwin To love someone else is easy, but to love what you are, the thing that is yourself, is just as if you were embracing a glowing red-hot iron: it burns into you and that is very painful. Therefore, to love somebody else in the first place is always an escape which we all hope for, and we all enjoy it when we are capable of it. But in the long run, it comes back on us. You cannot stay away from yourself forever, you have to return, have to come to that experiment, to know whether you really can love. That is the question-whether you can love yourself, and that will be the test. - CARL JUNGRead Julie's Medium Blog.Support JULIE (and the show!)Support + get some bonus stuff over on PATREON.Get an occasional personal email from me: www.makeyourdamnbedpodcast.comTune in on INSTAGRAM AND YOUTUBE or TIKTOK.Info on War Tax Resistance.Donate to the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund and the Sudan Relief FundThe opinions expressed by Julie Merica and Make Your Damn Bed Podcast are intended for entertainment purposes only. Are you ready to feel the weight of everything you've been carrying finally lift? August is pulling all of us into a nine month, and that means the collective is being asked to release what's no longer ours to hold. If you've been sensing an ending on the horizon, you're not imagining it.This week, Zoey and Amelia are unpacking how July's personal numerology actually played out for each of them before turning their attention to the big one: August's collective month nine energy. Zoey shares a strong channeled download about what's coming to a close on a larger, even political scale, and the two get honest about grief, forgiveness, and what it really means to let something die so something else can begin. They talk through mortality, aging parents, and the rituals that help us say goodbye with love instead of white-knuckled resistance. It's a tender, clarifying episode for anyone who can feel a chapter closing and isn't sure how to let it.In this episode: 0:00 Welcome back to The Higher Self Hotline 1:09 Amelia's month one to month two shift, and the situationshit that sparked it 19:53 Building The Bitching Hour community in Zoey's personal month six 28:56 Trusting intuition over external answers in a personal month seven 36:30 What the collective month nine wants from you in August 45:05 Something is about to crumble, and Zoey channels why 52:08 Aging parents, mortality, and learning to let go with grace

Three different FBI sources. Three different answers. On the same day. About the single most important piece of evidence in the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping.Reuters said all the ransom notes are fabricated. The Phoenix field office said some may be legitimate. TMZ's sources said the original two are more credible than not. The Bureau cannot agree internally on whether the central evidence in its own active case is real or manufactured.Nancy Guthrie has been missing from her Tucson home for nearly six months. No suspect identified. No arrest. Former FBI agent Steve Moore went on camera and said what no official source has admitted. The case is completely cold. He told Brian Entin that fresh agents will eventually rotate in because the current investigators are stuck. This case has attracted cons alongside its genuine investigation. Derrick Callella pleaded guilty to posing as a kidnapper and sending fake ransom messages directly to Nancy's family while the real kidnapping was still open. Someone else separately sent TMZ a dozen emails demanding Bitcoin for information. The resources devoted to sorting real leads from manufactured noise have been enormous.Genetic genealogy testing began in February using DNA recovered from inside the house. That was five months ago. The enhanced photo of the masked figure on Nancy's porch has never been publicly released.Nancy's face is on the billboards across Tucson. The suspect's is not. The enhanced photo of the masked figure was captured on her porch camera. It has never been made public. These are deliberate decisions by the people running this investigation, and no one has explained the logic behind any of them.Retired FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer joins Hidden Killers to examine the Bureau's contradictions, what happens mechanically when a case goes cold, whether the genetic genealogy testing has produced results that have not been shared, and whether investigators already know more about porch guy than they have told the public.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Opening statements began this week in the murder trial of Lindsay Clancy, the Duxbury, Massachusetts mother accused of strangling her three children — 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 7-month-old Callan — with exercise resistance bands inside the family's Summer Street home on January 24, 2023. Clancy faces three counts of murder and three counts of strangulation. She's pleaded not guilty and is mounting an insanity defense, with attorney Kevin Reddington arguing she was in the grip of severe postpartum psychosis and psychiatric overmedication at the time of the killings.Assistant District Attorney Shanan Buckingham used her opening to lay out the state's core argument: this was not a woman lost to psychosis, it was a deliberate act. Prosecutors are expected to build their case around the idea that Clancy understood exactly what she was doing that day — a direct challenge to the psychiatric narrative the defense has spent months building. It's the fight this trial was always going to come down to: was this a mind that broke, or a mind that decided. Buckingham just made clear which side of that line the prosecution intends to stand on, and she's not planning to hedge. After the killings, Clancy allegedly attempted suicide by jumping from a second-story window, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. Her husband, Patrick Clancy, was out of the home running errands at the time and has since relocated to Manhattan. The trial, underway in Plymouth Superior Court before Judge William F. Sullivan, is expected to run several weeks.LinksJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Clancy faces three counts of murder and three counts of strangulation. She's pleaded not guilty and is mounting an insanity defense, with attorney Kevin Reddington arguing she was in the grip of severe postpartum psychosis and psychiatric overmedication at the time of the killings.Reddington took his turn at the podium and built a very different picture than the prosecution's. His Lindsay Clancy was a trained nurse, a devoted mother, a woman who saw the warning signs in herself and asked for help — and didn't get the help she needed in time. It's the defense's whole case in one image: not a woman who chose violence, but a woman failed by the system meant to catch her before she fell. Whether jurors buy that framing over the prosecution's "premeditated, not psychotic" line is going to be the entire trial. After the killings, Clancy allegedly attempted suicide by jumping from a second-story window, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. If Lindsay Clancy is convicted of first-degree murder, a Massachusetts judge has no room to weigh in on her sentence at all. The charge carries mandatory life without parole. Not the illness, not the medication, not the wheelchair, not a single fact about who she was before January 24, 2023, when Cora, five, Dawson, three, and eight-month-old Callan died at their Duxbury, Massachusetts home. The judge doesn't get a say. Neither does the jury, once they've reached that verdict. Lindsay is pleading not guilty by reason of insanity. She's a former labor and delivery nurse. Prosecutors say roughly three months before the killings, she typed something about her older children into her phone, a note a prosecutor later read aloud in court. The defense says she'd been begging the medical system for help for weeks and was handed prescriptions instead. She's permanently paralyzed after going out a second-story window the night her children died. The other possible outcome isn't freedom either. A finding of not criminally responsible sends her to a locked state psychiatric hospital with periodic reviews to determine whether she can ever safely return to a community. She's already been in state custody since 2023. Two rigid outcomes, and nothing in between since prosecutors dropped the lesser charges that once existed. Jury selection began July 20 in Plymouth Superior Court, and whichever way this goes, one number, life without parole or indefinite commitment, is the only thing waiting on the other side. Patrick Clancy is on the defense witness list. He and Lindsay have separately sued her healthcare providers, arguing the treatment she received played a direct role in what happened. The first autopsy on Nolan Wells did not return all of him to his family. The state retained his throat during the examination. The trachea, hyoid bone, and laryngeal cartilage were kept. The independent pathologist who later examined what was left said retention like that is standard when pathologists suspect compression. The family's independent autopsy came back undetermined. Not accidental. Not natural. Not homicide. Undetermined. The pathologist listed seven unresolved questions and said he could not rule out non-accidental factors. The official state autopsy results remain pending.Nolan Wells was eighteen years old. He went to a boat party on Horn Island, Mississippi over the Fourth of July. He was the only one in the group who did not come home and the only Black member of that group. His body was recovered two days later by a park ranger.Ben Crump announced the independent autopsy findings at the NAACP National Convention. The NAACP national board passed a resolution calling for a transparent review. The Jackson County DA has referred the case to a grand jury with subpoena power the sheriff does not possess. Many of the friends who were on that island have been talking publicly. They have given interviews. They have posted on social media. A grand jury brings something those public statements lack. Sworn testimony under penalty of perjury. Whether their accounts hold up when there are consequences for dishonesty is a question this investigation is now designed to answer.Retired FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer examines what the throat retention tells investigators, how long a death investigation of this scope takes to reach a grand jury, what sworn testimony changes, and what the phone data from everyone who was on that island will reveal.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Lima and Daryl Ruiter examine the social media controversy surrounding Jerry Jeudy and his cryptic TikTok videos. Producer John Colavita plays private eye for the crew, digging into a viral edited TikTok clip where Jerry Jeudy appears to flash a "four," seemingly signaling support for Deshaun Watson in the Browns quarterback competition. Daryl Ruiter and Lima debate whether Jeudy actually meant it or was chasing attention, pointing to his rocky 2025 season and sideline friction with Shedeur Sanders as reasons the Browns should have never traded for him in the first place. The segment opens with lighter banter about Banana Ball at Wrigley Field and the crew razzing each other about aging out of Gen Z slang before shifting into training camp optimism. They close by teasing more quarterback competition fallout and a return to LeBron/Cavs discussion later in the show.

Everyone around Lindsay Clancy saw her getting worse. Her husband saw it and said so, directly to her doctors. The question this episode asks is simple: did the people treating her know, and if they did, why did they raise her medication instead of pulling back? She would go on to kill Cora, Dawson, and Callan, and both sides now agree on that fact — only her mental state at the time is in dispute. Tony Brueski is joined by psychotherapist Shavaun Scott, author of Night Bird, to examine the treatment record behind Lindsay Clancy's ongoing murder trial in Plymouth, Massachusetts, over the deaths of her children Cora, Dawson, and Callan in Duxbury. Shavaun starts with the diagnosis problem — providers allegedly logged intrusive thoughts at the same time Lindsay was reportedly describing a commanding voice telling her to harm her kids, two clinically distinct phenomena that got blurred together. It wasn't until after the killings that a forensic evaluation confirmed Bipolar I, a diagnosis her providers had weighed but never settled on. From there, the prescribing history: thirteen medications across four months, five different providers, and — according to the lawsuit — no coordinated review of any of it. Patrick Clancy told providers his wife was ten thousand times worse on Seroquel. They increased the dose. She called a suicide hotline and was screened out. She waited three days at McLean Hospital before seeing a doctor. Shavaun weighs in on how much of this was preventable, what a properly coordinated psychiatric team would have caught, and where the line falls between individual error and structural failure. There are two autopsies on Nolan Wells, a six-figure reward fund, and a growing list of people getting threatened online, and only one of those things is actually backed by evidence. The independent exam, commissioned by the family and performed by Dr. Roger Mitchell, came back undetermined. No fractures. No deep tissue injuries. No lacerations. The discoloration on the back of his skull can't tell anyone how Nolan entered the water, or whether he was even conscious at the time. The state completed its own autopsy on July 7th. It's still sealed inside a Jackson County file. What isn't sealed is the reward money. A hundred and twenty-five thousand dollars, funded in part by Al Sharpton, Tyler Perry, and Terrell Owens. No suspect has been named. No evidence a crime occurred has been made public. What has happened: the friends who were with Nolan on Horn Island are now facing threats, confirmed publicly by a chancery judge whose stepdaughter is one of them. AI-generated images and debunked videos keep resurfacing as if they prove something. The independent findings were announced at the NAACP National Convention in Chicago, far from the investigation itself. Defense attorney and former prosecutor Eric Faddis lays out what the pathologist could and couldn't confirm, and what it means for the people already being blamed if the grand jury finds no crime at all. He walks through the difference between an undetermined manner of death and proof of foul play, and why that difference has mostly gotten lost in the noise. Tony puts the science, the money, and the mounting pressure on Nolan's friends side by side, lets the contradictions speak for themselves, and traces exactly how a story with no confirmed crime built a six-figure reward fund and a national platform anyway. Joseph Duggar's arrest in Bay County, Florida isn't just a new headline for the Duggar family, it's a hinge point that connects a 2015 television confession, a 2003 cover-up, and a completely separate child endangerment case eight hundred miles away in Ohio. Tony Brueski starts with the tape: Joseph Duggar, on camera in December of 2015, describing his brother Josh's secret life and calling it heartbreaking. Then the 2026 affidavit alleging Joseph Duggar asked a nine-year-old girl to sit on his lap on a family trip to Panama City Beach. He's pleaded not guilty and posted a six hundred thousand dollar bond. In between sits 2003, when Jim Bob Duggar took his oldest son to a family friend with a badge instead of the police, a decision that kept the case out of court, made under a family doctrine that treated going outside the chain of command as the real danger. It also matters, a great deal, who that man with the badge turned out to be. This episode also lays the Duggar family's newest legal trouble next to the Siders family of Hamden, Ohio, where sixteen children were removed from a home in June of 2026 and four adults now face sixteen counts each of endangering children. Joseph and Kendra Duggar face a nearly identical set of charges out of Arkansas involving their own four kids. Different last names, same blueprint: children kept off the books, out of classrooms, and away from anyone who might have asked questions. The difference shows up the moment the cameras leave. One family posted bond and went home. The other's patriarch got out of jail because his county couldn't afford to keep him. True Crime Today breaks down what's public, what's alleged, and what still doesn't add up. There used to be a middle ground in the Lindsay Clancy case. As of July 9, there isn't one anymore. Prosecutors dropped all three strangulation charges against Lindsay Clancy that day, calling them redundant. What that filing actually did was erase the space between the two remaining verdicts: life without parole, or not criminally responsible. No compromise. No lesser finding for the jury to land on if they're not fully convinced either way. Lindsay is charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Cora, five, Dawson, three, and eight-month-old Callan, at their Duxbury, Massachusetts home in January 2023. She's pleading not guilty by reason of insanity. She'd checked herself into a psychiatric hospital on New Year's Eve after telling her husband she was having thoughts of hurting her children. She was discharged. Nineteen days later, the children were dead. Her attorney puts her medication count at roughly thirteen psychiatric drugs across about four months, with a dose increase and a sleepless night the day before it happened. The narrowing didn't stop there. On July 13, the judge blocked women who've survived postpartum psychosis from testifying about the condition in their own words. On July 20, the first morning of jury selection, prosecutors moved to challenge the defense's own experts, the third motion in eleven days aimed at limiting Lindsay's defense. Patrick Clancy, her husband, is on the defense witness list. He's also suing her healthcare providers and has publicly asked people to forgive her. Two jurors were seated by lunch. The trial is expected to run four to eight weeks, and whatever verdict comes out of it, there's no door left open in between. The family that reported Joseph Duggar to police has lost almost everything, and understanding why starts with how this family actually operates. Joseph, thirty-one, is facing two felony counts in Florida connected to what happened to a child during a 2020 family vacation. He's pleaded not guilty, but the arrest affidavit says he admitted what happened twice, once to the child's father and once to detectives on a monitored call. His parents posted his bond. The people who went to police instead of keeping it quiet were his own in-laws, the Caldwells, a Baptist pastor's family who broke a two-decade pattern of handling everything inside the house. What that decision has cost them is coming in this episode. While that plays out in Florida, Josh Duggar is generating his own headlines from inside federal prison. He's been transferred through four facilities in three states, and the Bureau of Prisons hasn't explained why. His attorney calls the moves retaliation for complaints about opened legal mail. Whatever the reason, his release date keeps sliding in one direction only: originally August 2032, revised three times since, now sitting at February 2, 2033. Jurors at his trial already heard how far he was willing to go to dodge accountability, including a hidden operating system built specifically to defeat the monitoring software his wife was using on him. Now there's a 2025 motion, filed from behind bars, and his own sisters are named in it. What Josh Duggar is claiming about them, and what he wants a court to do about it, is the thread tying this whole episode together. Two Duggar sons, two courtrooms, and the same family instinct showing up in both: protect the name first, and worry about who gets hurt along the way second. Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
Lindsay Clancy called a suicide hotline before she killed her three children in Duxbury, Massachusetts, and was told she didn't qualify for help because she didn't have a plan. That single phone call sits at the center of the trial now underway in Plymouth. Both sides agree Cora, Dawson, and Callan died at her hands. The only open question is criminal responsibility. Tony Brueski is joined by psychotherapist Shavaun Scott, author of Night Bird, to walk through everything that led to that call and everything that came after it. Lindsay's providers had documented intrusive thoughts around the same time she was reportedly describing a commanding voice telling her to harm Cora, Dawson, and Callan — a distinction Shavaun says the treatment team never fully reckoned with. A forensic evaluation eventually diagnosed Bipolar I, a diagnosis her providers had floated but never locked in while it mattered. In the four months before the killings, Lindsay was prescribed thirteen different medications. Her husband, Patrick, warned providers directly that she was unrecognizable on Seroquel and asked them to stop. Instead of pulling back, they raised the dose. She checked into McLean Hospital on New Year's Eve and sat for three days before a doctor examined her. Five providers passed through her care, and the lawsuit alleges none of them ever compared notes. Shavaun explains how a hotline screening script can miss a woman in active crisis, why revolving prescriptions without coordination make a bad diagnosis worse, and what should have happened differently the moment Patrick raised the alarm. This is the treatment record the jury in Plymouth is now being asked to weigh. Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
There's a motion sitting in a federal court file right now, filed by Josh Duggar in 2025, and his own sisters are named in it. What he's asking the court to do with them is the reason we're covering this case again. It comes from a man who's currently being moved through four different federal facilities in three states, with the Bureau of Prisons refusing to say why. His attorney frames the transfers as retaliation, punishment for complaining that guards opened his legal mail. That's the version his team is selling. But his release date tells a quieter, uglier story. It started at August 2032. It's been pushed back three times since, and it now lands on February 2, 2033. A date that only ever moves in one direction isn't the record of a man doing his time and staying out of the way. At trial, the jury heard exactly how far he was willing to go to avoid accountability: software his wife was supposed to use to monitor him, and a hidden system he built to make that software useless. Two years of being told no, and he built his own way around it. The rest of the Duggar family isn't having a quiet stretch either. In Florida, Joseph Duggar, thirty-one, is facing two felony counts tied to what happened to a child during a 2020 family vacation. He's pleaded not guilty, but according to the affidavit, he admitted what happened twice: once to the child's father, and once to detectives on a monitored call. His parents bailed him out. The people who went to police were his own in-laws, the Caldwells, who broke with a family pattern of keeping everything inside the house. What it cost them is where this one is headed. Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
n December of 2015, Joseph Duggar sat in front of a TLC camera and told the country exactly what kind of man his brother Josh really was. He described a secret life. He described a man who preached one thing and lived another. He said it broke his heart. In 2026, an arrest affidavit out of Bay County, Florida, says Joseph Duggar asked a nine-year-old girl to sit on his lap during a family vacation in Panama City Beach, and now his own words from that interview read less like grief and more like a confession he didn't know he was giving. Joseph Duggar has pleaded not guilty. He's out on a six hundred thousand dollar bond. Tony Brueski walks through the Florida case, then rewinds to 2003, when Jim Bob Duggar handled his oldest son's confession by taking him to a family friend with a badge instead of a police station, a decision that meant no charges were ever filed, and a decision that gets darker once you learn what happened to that man later. That same 2015 interview also exposed two of the Duggar daughters to details the original police reports had shielded them from. Then the frame widens. In Hamden, Ohio, sixteen children were pulled from a house belonging to the Siders family, four of whom now face sixteen counts each of endangering children. Different state, different income bracket, same underlying method: kids kept off the books, no school, no doctors, everything handled inside the house until the state stepped in. Joseph and Kendra Duggar face a nearly identical set of charges out of Arkansas, involving their own four children, since removed from their home. One family posted bond and flew home. The other's patriarch walked out of jail because the county couldn't cover his hospital bill. Same play, very different outcomes, and Tony Brueski isn't done asking why. The case of Nolan Wells now has two autopsies, a six-figure reward, and zero arrests, and somehow that combination has made things worse, not better. The independent exam the family commissioned came back undetermined. No fractures, no deep tissue injuries, no lacerations, just discoloration on the back of his skull that can't tell anyone how he entered the water or whether he was conscious when he did. The state's own completed autopsy from July 7th is still sitting unreleased in a Jackson County file. Then there's the money. A hundred and twenty-five thousand dollars in reward funds, courtesy of Al Sharpton, Tyler Perry, and Terrell Owens. No suspect. No public evidence a crime happened. And the friends who were on Horn Island with Nolan that day are now living with threats. A chancery judge related to one of those friends has spoken out publicly about it, while AI-generated images and already-debunked videos keep getting passed around as proof of something. Nolan's attorney chose the NAACP National Convention in Chicago, not a courtroom or a press conference in Pascagoula, to announce the independent findings. Defense attorney and former prosecutor Eric Faddis walks through what the pathologist actually found, what got left out of the public conversation, and who answers for the damage already done if the grand jury comes back with nothing. He breaks down the legal distance between an undetermined manner of death and an actual crime, and why that distance keeps getting erased online. Tony puts the forensic findings next to the public campaign happening around them, lets the audience see exactly where they stop lining up, and asks what's owed to people who end up in the crosshairs of a case that still hasn't proven a crime happened. The day before Lindsay Clancy killed her three children, her medication was increased. Nobody has fully explained why that decision was made, or by whom. She'd already been on roughly thirteen different psychiatric drugs across about four months. Her own malpractice lawsuit describes that final dose increase, paired with a night without sleep, in the hours before Cora, five, Dawson, three, and Callan, eight months, died in their Duxbury, Massachusetts home. She's pleading not guilty by reason of insanity. She'd checked herself into a psychiatric hospital on New Year's Eve after telling her husband she was having thoughts of hurting her children. On July 13, the judge blocked women who've survived postpartum psychosis from testifying about the illness in their own words. That leaves the jury with paper: prescription records, a dosage change, a malpractice complaint describing exactly how the medication was mishandled. Two jurors were seated by lunch. The trial is expected to run four to eight weeks. Patrick Clancy, her husband, is on the defense witness list. He's also suing her healthcare providers and has publicly asked people to forgive her.
