How much power do parents have in directing their children's education? All families need support and resources which are meant to support our communities. In this episode, we are discussing resources available to parents in supporting individual students' needs for both academics and mental health needs. Children of color and Latin X students are most likely to live in poverty in America, this overlap of socio-economic overlap means oftentimes, these students get less in terms of resources, staff, and funds for technology and basic needs. Even the wealthiest of these students still have an "achievement" education gap when they do have access to better schools. The biggest question is its achievement or is it opportunity. Student success is dependent on the environment and resources available to them.
