Everything in college was going well for Naomi until she received her diagnosis. Naomi changed her degree plans to becoming a biology major with the hope of attending medical school. She worked at her college cafe serving coffee and smoothies while earning her degree in biology. She dated her friend Nathan and when they broke up her world ended. The story describes Naomi piecing her life back together despite her diagnosis and struggle with medicine while feeling alone. Naomi finds her own strength and discovers she is all she needed to succeed.
