Nerd Talk and Beyond

This week we're discussing the criminally underrated adaptation of The Losers and the pleasantly entertaining comic series it's based on. If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor.

"We are Sex Bob-Omb and we're here to make you think about death and get sad and stuff!" This week we're all about Scott Pilgrim, one of our favorite movies to quote. There's so much to love we don't even get to all of it.

This week we're tackling Fantastic Four, one of the few cases where the comics absolutely surpass the films! And yes. I rewatched 2015's deadful reboot. We even pick our fantasy cast for the reboot.

We wanted to go Mark Millar crazy, but instead decided to focus just on the Kick-Ass comics and movies this week! We profess our love for the first movie, disappointment for the second, but overal joy of the comics.

Did you know Mystery Men was based on a comic book? And they weren't even the main characters! We read some Flaming Carrot comics and discover the origins of the Mystery Men and see how it stacks up with the movie.

Justin gives us an update on a few news topics in the film world and since Derrick is out this week so we thought it would be fun to play a conversation about time travel movies from Nerd Talk Classic as it is now called. 

We discuss our thoughts on Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (I know, took us long enough), and our favorite trailers released from Comic-Con including our main topic - SHAZAM!

This week we tackle this summer's Avengers Infinity War! We take a look at it's history, some of the differences in the comics, and some of our theories for the next installment including an intriguing Doctor Strange theory surrounding the time gem.

We saw Ant-Man and the Wasp! We read some Ant-Man comics! And should the future of the Ant-Man films take a trip to the past? 

Who better than the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man to be our first superhero to tackle. We read Spider-Man Blue (and the hundreds Derrick has read) and give our thoughts on each film adaptation so far and what we hope to see next.
