On this Thursday bonus episode we are going to play the interview from episode 89 from Feburary 2017 featuring Justin Plummer III and Martin Strauss who are two San Francisco Bay Area directors who get paid to direct full time. They talk with us about how they got started and what it's like to sign with a big time LA commercial production company, and why they weren't living in LA at the time. I thought this was a good match for our chat with Michael Naizu and John Wilcox from Monday because they are both brother co-directors who are collaborating in a very different way.. Filling in for Adam Holz once again, Plugged In's Paul Asay joins Brian for a fun Friday lineup. They dig into Coyote vs. Acme, the long-shelved live-action/animated hybrid where Wile E. Coyote finally sues Acme Corporation (run by Foghorn Leghorn) for decades of exploding gadgets, now getting a theatrical release after a distributor rescued it from Warner Brothers' tax write-off shelf. Paul highlights its nostalgic charm and message of persistence, alongside some mild language and cartoon violence parents should weigh. They also cover Beyond Belief, a Christian throwback film set in the 1980s Christian music scene featuring cameos from the actual band Petra, following a teen guitarist who takes a literal word from God — "run" — as a call to train for a marathon on the same day as his band's make-or-break battle of the bands.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Have you ever noticed that when you cut your finger, you probably put a band-aid on it, and then you don't think twice about it? Have you noticed that you don't focus on healing your finger? You're not doing self hypnosis healing, acupuncture, yoga, etc. to heal your finger. Even if it's a bad cut that does not require stitches, you simply wrap it up, go about your tasks and forget about it. The whole point of this episode is shockingly simple and powerful, and honestly, it's the key to all manifestation. Yes, health, a cut finger, overall wellness, money, relationships…everything. The reason you don't focus or worry about your finger healing is because, are you ready? It's because you already know it's going to heal. And that is the key…the concept of ALREADY. I stumbled onto this realization by accidental observation in 2020. I had a stroke and heart failure in 2020 and today I am completely healthy and well. In this episode I talk about how a few things. I talk about where we keep our attention, what we create when we work from “need” and the power of already knowing that we can create whatever we want in life. That is a tremendous power we all have, no matter what the circumstances of your life are at the moment. When we work from needing and creating and in particular, when we place high value on what we want, even great health, we often create resistance to getting it. Why do we create resistance? Because the bigger it is the harder it seems and that is challenging for a lot of people. Transformational Takeaway How would you think, how would you feel, what would you do if you ALREADY had _____? Welcome to episode 347 of the Löw Tide Böyz - A Swimrun Podcast! We're throwing it back all the way to 2022 for our ninth installment of the Löw Tide Böyz Throwback Mixtape. This one comes from our second annual Partners Month, and re-listening to it gave us all the warm and fuzzies all over again. Chrissy and Bill Lankford, known to the community as Team Mr and Mrs B, join us to talk about swimrun as both life partners and race partners. They found the sport through the Toadman World Series, a set of local races near their home in Cambridge, then worked their way through the Isle of Scilly and Rockman before deciding to take on the ÖTILLÖ World Championship, a huge jump in distance and duration from what they had raced before. We get into how they trained with almost no access to real swimrun terrain, how they communicate and lean on each other when a race gets hard, the mantras that carry them through the tough stretches, and the hip flexor injury Bill raced through after a rough transition. We also talk gear, wetsuits, transitions, and their ongoing effort to bring more people into the sport. Bill and Chrissy have since gone on to race multiple ÖTILLÖ World Championships, Rockman, and ÖTILLÖ Öland together. Real gems of humans, and a conversation worth revisiting. Enjoy! ~~~ That's it for this week's show. If you are enjoying the Löw Tide Böyz, be sure to subscribe to the show on your favorite podcast player and leave us a five-star rating and review since that's the best way for people to discover the show and the sport of Swimrun. This episode with Mo Gawdat originally went out in 2019, but its message feels as relevant as ever. We're re-releasing it to celebrate the 500th episode of How to Fail. Just occasionally, you meet someone who changes the way you think about the world. That's what happened when Elizabeth met Mo Gawdat, former Chief Business Officer at Google X, who spent years trying to solve a problem that seemed impossible to quantify: how can one individual be happy? After 12 years of research, Gawdat developed an algorithm for happiness: happiness is greater than or equal to your perception of the events in your life, minus your expectations of how life should be. He wrote about it in his international bestseller Solve for Happy. But that algorithm was put to the ultimate test when his beloved 21-year-old son, Ali, died in tragic circumstances. Mo joins me to talk about grief and depression, happiness as a form of fitness, coping with break-ups, the isolating effects of social media, why life is like a computer game, the illusion of time - and why we should always be polite to Siri. Vincenzo is an expert in optimizing and scaling brands on Amazon. He is the CEO of e-commerce, where they have helped more than 1000 local, national and international brands. Sell more on Amazon globally. E-commerce is a full service Amazon consultancy providing tactical execution support and strategic consulting services for Amazon sellers and vendors focused on mid to large size brands. E-commerce uses a specialist consulting framework, deep analytical ability and powerful technology to grow their customers revenue on Amazon. So with that introduction, welcome to the show Vincenzo.Vincenzo 00:00:46 Thank you. Josh, it's a pleasure and thank you for having me on Vincenzo.Josh 00:00:49 I'm super curious to dive into like the influencer marketing in the blogs, like how are you reaching out to these influencers and how are you Negotiating, you know, payment for these because a lot of influencers, it's like you have to pay me a thousand bucks just for me to post it, and then it will be on my story for 24 hours, and then it's gone.Josh 00:01:12 Right? And you're like, wow, I've got to make a lot of money. I've got to make a lot of sales. Yeah, in those 24 hours to make it worth it. So tell me about, you know, a how you're finding these influencers and bloggers, and then B, what type of payment structure are you coming up with.Vincenzo 00:01:29 Sure. So the first tip and this would be for YouTube. One thing that my team does, and of course the only downside of this is that it's very manual work. So it's going to be time consuming if you don't want to use a platform, but still it's an option to do it. So what you will do is you go to YouTube and let's say you want to do vitamin C, right? So you're gonna put all is the name of the product. And then then you put Amazon. So it could be vitamin C, Amazon or top vitamin C Amazon. And the reason why you put Amazon is because at the end of the day, YouTube is a search engine.Vincenzo 00:01:59 And that is gonna matches most of the time with videos that say top ten vitamin C on Amazon, or even if it's not title, it's gonna match it with the link of the influencer. Because if these guys do influence, they have an Amazon influencer account. The links that they put in the description have the Amazon world on it. Therefore, the search engine is going to match me with those videos. And that's the first filtering. I already know. Which ones are the guys that have been working with Amazon brands in the past. They know how the whole ecosystem works, and it's easier than working with a person that, you know, they just do blogs and they don't even have an idea about what is selling on Amazon. So I want to make sure they speak the same language. That's the first thing. The second thing is when it comes to payment terms. So these are different ways you can do it. So the first way of doing it is a matching the Amazon Commission as I mentioned.Vincenzo 00:02:50 So for example if they do 3% or 5% for Amazon with double, so we give 610% to them. Another option that we do is to write them matching the the commission. We might do just a flat fee, right? Maybe initially, when you know that relationship still doesn't exist with influence, it would do a flat fee, which I know sometimes it can be heavy, as you mentioned. But again, there there are many ways for you to, you know, analyze the, the actual YouTube channel. There are tools that you put the, the hashtag and it gives you like the history, the views, engagement and so on. And that can give you like a good idea about how good this influencer is. And based on that, if this guy asks you for 1000, but then you see that the average likes for videos like two likes, you see that that traffic is fake. So that's a red flag. And the third option, which is this is the most difficult to get. But if you get this, I would say this one is the best way.Vincenzo 00:03:46 It's basically you you transform this person into an ambassador, right. So an ambassador means that basically they become like the face of your product, and they basically talk about your product and pretty much every single video. Like it could be a banner at the beginning or you start sponsoring ...

When's the last time you sat down, mapped out where you wanted to be by year's end, felt genuinely fired up about it, and then quietly stopped mentioning it by March? In this throwback episode, we're bringing back this conversation with David Horsager, business strategist and author of the national bestseller The Trust Edge, about his book The Daily Edge. David shares the 90-day quick plan that helped him lose 50 pounds and helped his clients triple sales, the SEEDS habits that keep leaders sustainable, and the simple daily practice he calls DMAs (Difference Making Actions) that keeps his team focused on what matters most. It's not that you don't want to change. Welcome back, WIFs.Back by popular demand, Lauren and Michelle are bringing you another mini cozy from their Bring Back the 90's series. And this time, they're going back to school. Before back-to-school shopping meant clicking a link, buying a pre-selected supply box, and checking everything off a list, there was something special about walking the aisles and picking out exactly what you wanted. In this episode, the sisters take a nostalgic trip back to 90's back-to-school season, from Venture shopping trips and Five Star notebooks to Trapper Keepers, Lisa Frank folders, smelly pens, Dr. Grip pens, eraser caps, pencil cases, and the highlighters that were somehow way more exciting than they needed to be.Then there's lunch.Capri Suns, Lunchables, Kudos bars, Gushers, Fruit by the Foot, Ecto Cooler, Dunkaroos, SnackWell's, Handy Snacks, and those classic bologna sandwiches packed with love. And because this is the 90's, there are plenty of unexpected memories along the way—including paper bag book covers, rubber cement, white-out, eraser vacuums, and the fact that we were apparently trusted with paper guillotines.Press play, get cozy, and take a walk down the back-to-school aisles with Lauren and Michelle.Because the 90's were cozy—and maybe it's time to bring a little bit of that back into our adult lives, too.Resources:A Cozy Night For ReadersFollow Us!Shop Our Seasonal CandlesCheck Out Our Website

In this episode, we explore the fascinating difference between the mind and the brain. We challenge the common belief that our mind is limited to cognitive functions and decision-making. Instead, I introduce the idea that our mind extends beyond our brain, connecting us to a universal consciousness. We discuss how the brain acts as a translator, turning the vast potential of our mind into our everyday experiences. This episode encourages you to rethink where your thoughts come from and the true power behind your ability to heal and create. Sharing personal stories, including a life-changing experience after a stroke, I show how near-death experiences can reveal the mind's capacity to operate independently from our physical bodies, highlighting its connection to a greater, divine mind. This episode invites you to reconsider how you manifest, heal, and exist. Transformational Takeaway Understand and align with the divine mind and unlock endless possibilities for creativity, healing, and change... To mark 500 episodes of How to Fail! To we're re-releasing the first ever episode with Phoebe Waller Bridge, which originally went out in July 2018. Phoebe Waller-Bridge, creator and star of Fleabag, writer of Killing Eve, superstar feminist and human embodiment of a Star Wars droid, joins How To Fail to talk about how she failed at her 20s (but got lots of brilliant material from the terrible dates she endured), failing at drama school, terrible auditions (including one for Downton Abbey) and how her female best friend is quite possibly the love of her life. She also talks about emotional vulnerability, why women fail at anger and about finding glory in one's mistakes. There's a great exchange about whether women should be open about whether or not they want children and a whole segue into the desirability of alabaster foreheads. Oh, and we cover the time Phoebe met Meryl Streep and embarrassed herself horribly, in what might be one of the greatest celebrity anecdotes of all time involving apple crumble. Get ready to learn from the best of in this business on today's podcast. So with that introduction, welcome to the show, Eric.Eric 00:00:42 Thank you for having me. I appreciate your time.Josh 00:00:44 Every single listener is going to want to hear, like, what are those growth strategies that you implement? Right? What are those the tactical things that you do that help diversify, provide comfort. But I think it's not even just the aspect of diversification. I think it is building a comprehensive brand that private equity truly would be hungry to acquire, right? Because they don't just see you as a fly by night Amazon seller.Josh 00:01:14 You had success on that, but you can't repeat that success anywhere else. so Eric, let's let's dive into those strategies. Somebody comes to you, you know, how do you work them or how do you start to develop that 6 to 24 month, you know, growth strategy? I guess ramp up for them.Eric 00:01:34 Sounds good. Yeah. So the first off, before we do it, we basically have we want to ask the basic questions and we kind of we normally have a little questionnaire that we have that we'll provide in the show notes. But the big question that you always want to kind of do a kind of little self audit. And we need to be able to understand, you know, who you are, who is the target audience? You know, what specifically is their problem or what are they looking for? Like what's their big, you know, when they're looking for your products? Kind of. What is that? What are we think of that is kind of what's the keywords, what's the what's the the symptom or the problem that they're having.Eric 00:02:05 And then with that, also, when it comes to the types of gifts or ways that this product could be used in, if it were to be a, a type of a gift or a, you know, holiday type thing. We put together all the different audiences and we do what we call the keyword research around that. And that's basically using cool tools like, keyword keg. there's also, SEMrush. There's also Google, Keyword Planner, but these are tools that we put it in there. And that basically tells us over the last 12 months what is the search volume and not just what we think we want to offer, but what are all the other things that we never thought of. And from there, we're then able to kind of have a lay of the land of what's the demand? Then we put together what we call the demand growth strategy, which basically is a how do we build our business around where the opportunity is. We don't want to just go buy a whole bunch of products and hope it works.Eric 00:02:56 We actually have to plan for it. And so the way that we do that is, is we understand what's the demand and what how many people are searching for what. And then and that's not just only at what times of the year as well, because you want to know what our seasonal business is. And if you have something that's big and and at Christmas time, well, how do you get busy in the summertime? You know, how do you not have the slow months? And how do you build products in a company around a sustainable growth strategy with that? And so we really kind of look at the seasonal trends. and then lastly, when you look at the keyword research, we're then able to understand what's the average cost per click and, and what the key thing to note is that is that if we were to go say, let's go do this, let's go and put together, a strategy, what is the average cost per acquisition? And those are the things that really allow us to say, hey,...
In this throwback episode Sebastian takes you to an episode that is one of his personal favorites. Is it "secretly" one of the best episode of OFH? The character of Stagger Lee has been one of America's most enduring folk heroes. There have been over 400 songs written about the swaggering, gun-toting, bad man. He has gone by many names: Stacks Lee, Stagolee, Staxs O'Lee. Sometimes he is presented as a malevolent villain, others a heroic defender of the oppressed. No matter the telling Stagger Lee is always a badass. Is this figure just a piece of fiction dreamt up by blues musicians and perpetuated by their rock'n'roll progeny? Or was there a real man behind the murderous myth? Tune-in and find out how Biggie Smalls, 19th century fightin' words, and a milk white stetson hat all play a role in the story.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

This one keeps coming up in coaching calls, so we're bringing it back. The advice hasn't aged a day.If your top salesperson, your project manager, or your most trusted leader gave notice tomorrow, would your business keep running, or would it fall apart? It's not loyalty holding your company together when you catch yourself saying you "can't do this without" someone, that's fragility wearing a nicer name. And it's not a compliment when a client only gets served because one specific person shows up, that's a vulnerability you need to deal with.In this episode, I break down the difference between "I don't want to do this without them" and "I can't do this without them," the red flags of team members who make themselves indispensable on purpose, and how to build a business that runs on systems, not on any one person.Mentioned: Episode 330, How to Lead an Uncoachable Team Member
This is the very first episode of the Yummy Mummy podcast. And it might be the most important one.In this episode, Laura breaks down the one thing she wishes someone had told her during twenty years of dieting: calories in, calories out is not the answer. And the proof is that it hasn't worked — not permanently, not for you, not for anyone who's tried it long-term.What actually works is simpler, more sustainable, and has nothing to do with counting or tracking. Laura gives it to you straight in episode one — and it still holds up in 2026.We're bringing this one back to close out the summer because it's where everything starts. Hosted on Acast. So, let me ask you…do you get upset, angry, pouty, and bent out of shape when you feel like people are ignoring you or not paying attention to you? Be honest! Well, if you're like most of humanity you answer yes, you do get bent out of shape when you feel like others are not listening to you and that is what this episode is about. Many years ago my mentor, a shaman, someone who I greatly admire, and truth be told, I wanted him to pay attention to me – he ignored me for a year. Yes, for a whole year he would “kindly” dismiss me and ignore me. He was not mean or cruel or even disrespectful, he just didn't give me attention in the way that I wanted it. That was one of the most valuable years of my life because that experience taught me to let go of whether or not others paid attention to me. We get so attached to people paying attention to us and candidly, emotionally, many adults are not any better than children when we're trying to get some attention from others. As I talk about in the episode, we definitely want attention from our partner but we want healthy attention, not attention that fills in the holes in our lack of self-esteem and self-worth. The big payoff here is that when you let go of the “need for attention” as I discuss it in this episode we then let go of attachment and when we do that we start creating more freedom and liberation in our life!

In this throwback episode Sebastian takes you to the conclusion of one of the podcast's most discussed series. The island of Rapa Nui, or Easter Island, has been called “the clearest example of a society that destroyed itself.” For years it was taken for granted that the people of Rapa Nui had depleted their natural resources in pursuit of bigger and better stone statues called Moai. However, recent scholarship has called into to question the widely known story of ecological collapse. Were the people of Rapa Nui really the authors of their own destruction, or has this narrative been unfairly exaggerated? Tune-in and found out how Birdmen, traumatized skeletons, and a stolen friend all play a role in the story.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
