Oaken is a podcast devoted to exploring life and legacy.
This is episode 2 of the Rooted series where we are getting down in the dirt of what makes Christianity a thing. Over and over my expectations of it being boring and simple to discuss these topics has come up short of the very real and human experience and divine truth of what we're talking about. Last time I talked a lot about what faith is and the different meanings of the term. Today we're talking about the foundation. What is the dirt our roots are planted in? After a long break, in which a lot of life happened, I'm starting season 1 of the Oaken Podcast! This season is called Rooted, and we are exploring Faith and the Bible. In this episode, I explore some basic definitions of faith and how the word is used in our everyday life as well as in the Bible. Resources: The Reason for God by Timothy Keller, More Than A Carpenter by Josh McDowell, and The Case For Christ by Lee Strobel.
This introductory episode is a small tribute to trees as they are the inspiration for the title and driving theme of the Oaken podcast.
