Carly Donowick is one of our most favoritest skaters to work with in the professional skating world. She is talented. She is beautiful. She’ll make you laugh non-stop and doesn’t take herself too seriously. Plus, she always looks on the bright side of things. And by that we mean that she definitely does not always look on the bright side of things...and that’s why we love her.

We just transitioned from beautiful Sun Valley to gorgeous San Francisco... boy is life tough! Our journey home got us thinking about what's next, and that reminded us of when we interviewed Roy Blakey. Roy has made some incredible transitions in his life that have taken him into and out of skating. So, this week, MEGAsequin is going to bring you an entire Roy Blakey interview to help us all move into fall.

For this "part two" episode, we travel all the way down the road to the Sun Valley Ice Rink for the annual Sun Valley Adult Weekend. We get stories from new friends, old friends, and Brent's oldest friend, his very first skating student.

The annual Lake Placid Adult Week concluded this weekend and we just happened to be in town. Looking for some new stories for MEGAsequin and knowing that adult skaters could be the answer, we shoved some microphones in their faces during their post-show afterparty. Luckily no one mistook the microphones for appetizers and everyone kindly agreed to share some stories. Find out what happened next in this week's episode!

We like skating and we like stories, so naturally we like skating stories. But we like certain kinds of skating stories. Not so much the comeback kid stories or the "I worked really hard and then did really well" stories, but more the stories we hear told around our skating community, in reflection, maybe after a few glasses of wine. Why you ask? Because they are often weird and hilarious. Why else? Because they remind us that we are part of a pretty funny community, this skating community of ours. And even if you don’t skate, we bet you will find that these stories remind you that you too are part of a pretty hilarious community, the weirdo people community.
