The effects of the worldwide recession on Ireland have been dramatic. In this four-minute feature, I examine what the recession has done to the town of Tuam, and explore whether local factors have also had an influence.

When the 2010 Leaving Cert results came out, Clare FM asked me to Vox Pop some of those receiving their results at a local school in Ennis. I first set the scene with the presenter of the Morning Focus programme, John Cooke.
