Rock Roulette - Friday April 28 @ PJ's Lager House (8 pm) Back in March, Girls Rock Detroit took applications from women from all around Michigan and assigned them randomly into bands; each band committed to taking the next 7 weeks to write and rehearse new songs, while also raising money online and offline to support their team. On this one-night-only showcase, the band that raises the most money by the end of the night will be crowned the Rock Roulette Queens of Noise, earning the chance to professionally RECORD their original songs at Assemble Sound, an incredible organization and studio in Corktown! Rock Roulette is a competitive fundraiser that helps support Girls Rock Detroit's mission of empowering girls, women, and folks of marginalized genders, through creative expression, to be confident and engaged members of their communities! All funds raised go directly toward camp programming and tuition assistance.
