Here the Psalmist in vs 59 of Ps 119 ponders the direction of his life. Have you?
Today I am reading from the Good News Bible and Psalm 119 verse 58, a cry for mercy.
Lets read together how we to, may promise to obey God's word.

He tells us how he spends his life…and we are not surprised, he obeys God’s commands.
Here the psalmist challenges us; do we meditate on God’s word, which leads to obeying His word.
I wonder if you can identify with the psalmist that His laws are the music of your life?
The psalmist is angry with people who totally disregard God’s word.
Here the psalmist says God’s word gives him great comfort.
The psalmist makes it clear that he will not turn away from God’s word, he will stick to it come what may come.
Today we incorporate both vs.49 and 50 which both speak about God’s word giving us hope and comfort.
We continue with verse 48 and look at what it takes to meditate on God’s word.
Here the psalmist encourages us to love and respect the commands of the Lord.
The psalmist shares with us why he loves the word of the Lord (His commandments)
This verse is a challenge to all of us to speak for the Lord as we never know whom we will be speaking to.
I like this psalmist - he says he will keep on obeying God's word forever and ever!
Here the psalmist declares his only hope is in God's word.
Although he is taunted by the enemy, he trusts in God's word.
