Rob Dube, President and co-founder of imageOne joined us for tale 28 of the Resist Forty: Tales of Outliers Podcast. Rob is by far one of the most accomplished, yet humble individuals we have chatted with on the podcast. The author of “Do Nothing: the Most Rewarding Leadership Challenge You Will Ever Take” as well as a contributor to platforms like Forbes, Rob talked about how company culture (or the lack of) can make or break a company. He shared how his company, ImageOne, was acquired by a massive organization, and the experiences of going from the boss to an employee. Spoiler alert – he also talks about how he and his partner ultimately bought the company back. On tale 27 of Resist Forty: Tales of Outliers, we caught up with Vancouver local, Caroline Stokes. Caroline, who has quite the lengthy resume, is the Founder of The Forward, an agency that is changing the game for executive search and talent advancement. Caroline is also the host of her own podcast, The Emotionally Intelligent Recruiter, and is a contributor to publications such as Forbes, HuffPost, and LinkedIn. She also serves on the board for the International Coach Federation, the leading executive coaching organization in the world. This tale covered a variety of topics and industries. Caroline shared her experiences as a child, where she traveled to several countries and new that human connection and adventure were some of her greatest desires. She shared how she spent several years in a few different jobs, and how it's okay to not know what you want to do in your 20's or 30's, in fact that it's normal. She then talked about recognizing a gap in the recruiting industry, while simultaneously seeing a need for better job placement coaching.
