Talking Sims is a sim racing discussion program hosted by YouTuber Chris Haye and joined by a different guest each episode to discuss a variety of topics related to sim racing and motorsport.
Today I'm joined by David Perel, a man who knows his way around a Ferrari race car better than most in both real world and racing sims. we're discussing how sim racers can benefit from lessons learned in the real world and where racing sims could improve in the future. Check out Coach Dave Academy, where David conducts his coaching activities and produces setups for ACC, and of course his YouTube channel, which has some of the best onboard racing videos I've ever seen: https://coachdaveacademy.com/ https://www.youtube.com/user/davidperel
Today's episode of Talking Sims features Nils Naujoks, Redbull Esports & G2 Team Manager, and Esport competitor. We're discussing proffessionalism in Sim Racing ESports, driving at the limit and how driver coaching is playing a big role in sim racing as well as the real world right now. You can find Nils on Discord, YouTube and twitter: https://discord.gg/XNhshwE https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6Au... https://twitter.com/n1lyn
Thanks to everyone that watched the Talking Sims episode with Jardier over on the main channel yesterday. As a bonus, I got him to answer some questions from the Sim Racing community as well. The main talking sims episode and this bonus episonde shouild now be available on your favourite podcast platform too!
Hello fellow sim racers, today I'm joined by Jardier and his dog, which invariably means this is much better than all previous episodes of the podcast. So, I finally got round to recording another episode of talking sims, the sim racing show that's supposed to be about a broad range of subjects, but only seems to feature Youtubers, because amazingly, they're way more reliable than anyone else in the community! XD
Unless you've been living under a rock you've probably noticed that sim racing has had a bit of attention cast upon it over the last couple of weeks. Today on Talking Sims, I'm joined by Random Callsign and we're discussing the positive and negative impacts of sim-racing's unexpected leap onto the main stage.
Today I'm joined by William Marsh AKA Sim Racing Paddock. Since it's the beginning of a new decade we're going to be gazing haphazardly into the tea-leaves to see what we think the future holds for sim racing. Or to put it another way, making some hopefully educated guesses about the future, and in the process giving you guys plenty of ammunition when it doesn't come true!
Back in November, I filmed a video with James Parker discussing the nuances of car setups in Assetto Corsa, which contained some wonderful insight and some clever tricks and tips that I knew the community would love. Frustratingly the footage became corrupted, and after being sent off for recovery only the audio files were salvageable. After a period of reflection, I decided that this information was too useful to abandon, so I've decided to share it with the community as a podcast, here on YouTube, and as part of the talking sims series, which is available through everywhere you can find podcasts. What follows is an in depth discussion of the finer points of car setup, focussing on ACC, but much of what has been said here is also appropriate to every other racing sim.
Today I'm joined by Williams Esports driver Jack Keithley, and we're going to be discussing the state of sim racing in 2019, what it takes to compete at the top of sim racing esport and what us mere mortals can do to improve our sim racing craft.
I'm joined by the one and only Mr Paul Jeffery, who you may know from Race Department. Paul and I are the commentary team for the SRO Esport GT Series, so with the grand final coming up on Saturday the 28th I thought it would be a great time to sit down and talk through all things sim with my co-commentator and partner in crime.
I'm joined by Zach Hodgson from Turn Racing - suppliers of some of the nicest boutique sim racing wheels on the market.
Today I'm joined by Josh Martin who's both an E-Sport competitor and someone that's deeply involved in the commercial side of sim racing e-sports and live events. We're going to be talking about the impact that esports is having on sim racing and taking a look behind the curtain at what goes into both competing in and setting up live sim racing events.
Today I'm joined by Jimmy Broadbent - you may remember him from such videos sim racing videos as, well, all of them! Over the course of over 1300 different sim racing videos, Jimmy has become the most well known personalities in the sim racing world. Jimmy was nice enough to reach out last week and offer to be on the show and while I hadn't planned on having another youtuber on for a little while, I thought the opportunity was too good to turn down. So guys, sit back and enjoy my chat with Jimmy Broadbent on the subject of sim racing vs real life, event preparation and the ins and outs of being a full time YouTube content creator.
In today's 'Talking Sims' I'm joined by Mike, who you all know as Sim Racing 604 to discuss the topic of the sim racing community, and how we as content creators play our part. I've been wanting to collaborate with Mike for a long time. His channel Sim Racing 604 is a bastion of positivity, and Mike acts as a fantastic ambassador for the sim racing community.
For the first episode of Talking Sims I'm joined by Leon Sütfeld, creator of the Sveg mod for Assetto Corsa and owner of The Sim Channel on YouTube. We discuss some of the finer points of what goes in to creating a track for Assetto Corsa, from 3D Modelling to textures as well as the gameplay functionality. Hopefully you guys find this as interesting as I have, and if you have any suggestions for further topics or guests, please let me know!
