There is value in your vote! While peaceful protesting is important and allows our voices to be heard, voting is also important and through voting we are able to elect the people that we believe are going to implement and promote change at the local, state, and presidential level. If you are like me and can sometimes be overwhelmed by all the candidates, visit www.ballotready.org and type in you city and state and be aware of the people that are running and what they stand for! Voting is a privilege and an honor and we should not take it for granted. If you aren't registered to vote visit https://vote.gov and register!
While I am no means an expert on race and all the ways to improve racial inequality in America, I do believe that it is important for all stories to be told and for truth and justice to reign supreme. In this episode I share my thoughts on the Ahmaud Arbery story and why it is so important for believes to be just as disheartened by the injustices happening against minorities every day. Hope you enjoy the episode, share you thoughts on Instagram and Facebook @talkswithtrina. xoxo, Trina
We oftentimes try to run away from things that make us uncomfortable or things that will challenge us to think and act differently. Well over the last week the Lord has been challenging me to be okay with being uncomfortable so that he can do his greatest work in me. So my challenge to the tribe is that if the Lord has been calling you to do something out of the ordinary and is pushing you out of your comfort zone. Don't worry, you're not alone.

We al have it and if we're honest we all get consumed and focused on getting likes. In this episode I talk through social media and how what we post should be and honest representation of who we are. I also discuss how if as a believer we are drawing people to ourselves instead of Jesus we are not doing what the Lord has called us to do. Being present means fully enjoying them moment that you are in. That moment can be with family, friends, and most importantly the Lord. We have become accustomed to being and staying busy that we forget to be still and be present in all of the beautiful moments that the Lord gives us. This episode I talk through what is looks like to be present and be still. Hope you all enjoy! The book I mention in this episode is To Hell With The Hustle by Jefferson Bethke. Go check it out!
Let's be honest we all struggle with insecurities about our hair. This episode is about how we sometimes do not feel confident with our natural hair, but it is also an encouragement all women that hair is beautiful and you're not defined by what's on your head but what 's in your heart.
If you have been on social media I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of people posting about Kanye’s new album. While that was a topic of discussion so was Kanye’s salvation. I saw many people saying how he couldn’t possibly be saved and this was a joke, but then I began to realize, when did it become okay to limit the power of God and the Gospel to save someone...even Kanye. It’s important to remember the Gospel is for everyone.
